This beautiful summer wedding was so bright, fun and exciting!  Rachel, Chris and their sweet families were amazing to work with ~

We added beautiful color to 701 Whaley to tie together the summer garden party feel.  Debby West with Think Floral created some gorgeous pieces that really brought lovely beauty to the space.  Chinese paper lanterns over the dance floor added a pop of color and texture above the space.

Lucas at Kickstand Studios captured every detail of this wedding, the images are so amazing ~ some of the images below are from Lucas and some are candid!!

This wedding was so bright, exciting and full of fun!  The couple really wanted to incorporate a summer {garden} feel ~ so the bright colors were a beautiful base to begin.

They brought in the beautiful designs of Debby West and Think Floral to add that garden touch~ the topiaries with Gerber daisy, hydrangea and lemons were absolutely perfect.  All the colors were so vibrant and exhilarating.

Now you know the B.I.O. girls, we LOVE custom details…so when we started to see these fun touches come to life, the more excited we got (not that we weren’t already 🙂  From the most beautiful linen cake table runner to the oh so funny cake toppers, lemons and limes in the coffee table legs to the  color coordinated popcorn!!!!  Fabulous.

…and the car!!!!

We have never had so much fun with fruit as we did with this wedding and with Roxanne and Lee!!!  I know that sounds odd, but lemons hold a special meaning to them so we had fun creating neat and fun ideas to incorporate them in the design as well as using that same bright color palette.

This September wedding was bright, fun, and full of love and laughs.  Roxanne and Lee added in some truly hilarious touches that I am still talking about ~

Once again, every detail was just perfect (in my opinion 🙂 ~ but we worked with those ‘perfect’ vendors so I guess that is what happens (he,he)!!

The wedding and reception were at the exquisite Seibels House and Gardens.

I will start with how fabulous the catering and bar turned out Capital City Catering created the most unique and sumptuous menu for this discerning couple.  Oh my gosh- the food was so perfect!  The also handled the bar, which was the perfect addition to this wedding, they monogrammed the front of the bar that turn ‘green’ when the sun set- just amazing!  The best part truely…the signature drink which was the lemon drop martini!

The other perfect piece of this lemon puzzle was the beautiful, beautiful floral design by Think Floral.  Debby’s designs with the use of lemons is so amazing ~ the lemon topiary are my favorite!

To complete this look, we had the great guys at Ambient Media light our spacious tent (by Palmetto Party Rental) with elegant chinese paper lanterns in white, yellow and green.  They also lit the entire garden with soft green and yellow lighting- just beautiful!

Ricki Ford captured this wedding so unbelievably!  Thank you so much for sharing images!!!

Okay – so a for a few fun images:

Here is one of those adorable lemon topiary Debby created, it is holding the couples invitation that of course, was detailed with a lemon design!

Love these cute monograms of the couples initials.

I love the picture ~ totally surprised her!  By Invitation Only…created the ceremony drape.

….no words needed- but totally describes them!

Shot of the tent….

The couple wanted to have two different designs for their tables, so we added in the soft candlescape.

Here is that FABULOUS bar!

The couple gave our local Adluh Yellow Grits!

Look at this cake….Tamra at Slice of the South just outdid herself!  And look at the bobble head dolls!!!!!!

Of course, Capital City Catering’s signature fruit tree.

And I love this send off…on the Harley, tossing her bouquet and of course….the lemons tied to the bumper!!!

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow…..(and that does not even come close to how I feel 🙂

This show was so WONDERFUL!  Thank you first to the St. Andrews Women’s Club for hosting this great, amazing showcase again this year.  We had such a wonderful time preparing and participating in this show.

Our next HUGE thank you to all the brides, grooms, families and friends that came out  to the bridal show.  We so enjoyed meeting so many of you and talking about your up coming weddings.

Of course I could not accomplish this without working with a group of spectacular vendors….many, many thanks to Palmetto Party Rental for supplying the most amazing furniture, flooring and other rentals, Something Special Floral for the lush reception table piece and floral chandelier.  Tony Sharp for the lighting and draping.  Think Floral for the white curly willow branches, floral cake stand and punch bowl ring. Parties to Go for the yummy, yummy cake and  Amanda Zabrocki for taking some great photos!

And my final big thank you is for my wonderful, wonderful team that helped me put all of this together!  Jill, Harriet, Barbara, Courtenay, Ashley, Catherine, Rachel, Lacy and Keith….thank you for your dedication, imagination, and inspiration!!!

The biggest thank you of all to my mother and husband for believing in me and supporting me through thick and thin….for always being there behind the scenes and for loving me regardless 🙂  Love you so much!

Floral topper was created by By Invitation Only…it is a custom piece that we can create for our couples!

Jill and I taking a little break during the fashion show!

All the girls including Kim from Palmetto Party Rental 🙂

…and of course mom working hard!!

Outdoor summer weddings in South Carolina can sometimes ‘make you raise your eyebrow’ every now and then ~ but when Carlo and Adriel came to me with their Southern flare and easy-going personalities…I knew we would make the August nuptials spectacular for all those coming from all over the country.

Yes – the Southern flare began with the perfect venue…the South Carolina Lace House!  Once the couple had selected this gorgeous location to marry each other, we began putting the pieces together of this lovely puzzle…

Let’s start our weekend with Friday night’s rehearsal dinner ~ they hosted a traditional BBQ dinner to give many ‘east coast guests’ a real treat!!!  The dinner was held at the Historic 701 Whaley building.  Capital City Catering did the most amazing job with their famous BBQ and fried chicken 🙂  I just LOVE the cast iron skillet they use ~ we topped the tables with burlap and mason jars filled with wild flowers (created by Think Floral – Debby West).

After a fun, relaxed evening Friday, we got up Saturday and began preparing for the wedding!   The couple married in the oh so quaint garden hidden in the back corner of the Lace House grounds.  The day was a little warm but the garden was shaded and comfortable.  We thought we may get that ‘traditional’ summer shower but we were so lucky that the clouds rolled in and just ‘hung out’ for a while.  Ceremony was so lovely, dinner was fabulous and dancing was non-stop (thanks to Partytime DJ)!!

Clark and Becki Berry captured this spectacular wedding ~ some of the photos below are obviously theirs :-).

Debby West/Think Floral created the so elegant baby’s breath arrangements for the ceremony and calla lily for reception!

The guests were treated to a beautiful plated dinner by Jack Brantley, Aberdeen Catering.  His exquisite collection of antique china was the icing on the cake for this beautiful design.

Seating cards were designed with the couples love of wine in mind!

Each table carried the name of one of the couples favorite restaurants that they enjoy in either Boston and San Fransisco!

The yummy, yummy cake was by Parkland Cakes!

This couple was so loving, sweet, kind and HAPPY!  This is what makes a wedding so absolutely perfect….and to top it off…their familes were exactly the same!

The June wedding took place at the beautiful Lace House in Columbia.  They got married out in front of the grounds ‘signature’ fountain and as you can see…it is amazing.

Below is the ceremony all set and ready- Debby West, Think Floral created the beautiful floral designs that really pulled it all together.

I love this photo as Brittany began to ‘walk down the aisle’ from the front of the house!

Candid shot during the ceremony.

They decided to do the ‘unity sand’ during their service – lovely touch.

…and of course a great fun monogram on the garden gate.

This was so great….they brought monogrammed buckets for the drink station out next to the ceremony to place water in!

Their beautiful cake by Dianna Tornow, Your Kind of Cake

Brenda Lee out of Manning catered the event- it was spectacular….one of my favorites was the caesar salad display!

…and this was the guests favorites…the ice cream bar!

(This blog entry was created by planner, Jill Areheart!!)

We had a great time working with this easy-going couple. Although Shannon and Alex are from Columbia, they live in Chicago now, so we did most of the planning with their moms. Shannon was one of the most laid-back brides ever. It was so good to see how much she enjoyed her day without letting any of the little things (like RAIN!) bother her.

Shannon had fallen in love with the Millstone at Adam’s Pond when she worked there as a bartender in college so she knew that was where she wanted her reception. Debby West of Think Floral did an amazing job as always with the flowers. They were perfect accent for the space. We added lights and paper lanterns over the dance floor and lots of candles in the fireplaces and on the tables.  We wanted the outside to look pretty when guests arrives and for photos, so we put lights on the balcony and bridge and marked the entrance with metal lanterns on shepherd hooks.

Southern Way Catering did an outstanding job with the food and service. Since the day ended up drizzly, we were worried about the number of people inside, but they were so on top of picking up dirty glasses and dishes from the tables and keeping the food fresh and gorgeous all night it wasn’t a problem.

I loved that the couple had their champagne toast in the silver champagne saucers the bride’s parent’s used at their wedding.

The fabulous cake was by Parkland.  They also had a wonderful chocolate groom’s cake from The Pastry Place.

Lovely groom’s cake!!!

Well – I have to say ‘Wow’ about this past weekend’s bridal show!!!!  What a fabulous, fabulous turn out- so excited to see all the brides, grooms, bridesmaids, moms (and some dads) and friends!!!  The vendors present were so wonderful- everyone went all out for their booths…and it is always great to see fellow wedding vendors that we just don’t get to spend a lot of time with during an event 🙂

We enjoyed talking to all those that stopped by Sunday – we look forward to a wonderful year of planning amazing events.

I have attaching a few shots if you were not able to make it on Sunday- so you get a little glimpse of how we work at times…below is how I start out and then the photos show how we bring it to life!!!

Many special thanks to Think Floral for the lovely floral designs, Tony Sharpe (Aspire 4 More) for the pipe, drape and lighting, Clark and Becki Berry for the gorgeous red chairs, Parties to Go, Carol Sturkie for the oh so beautiful and delicious cake, Palmetto Party Rental for the lovely dance floor, chairs and tables and BBJ Linen, thank you Judy for bringing exquisite color to our day!

And a very special thank you to the team that made it happen- Harriet, Jill, Courtaney and Barbara, thank you so much for your hard work and dedication…and thank you Keith for your energy and strength and the most important thank you to my loving, wonderful husband Darren that supports me each and every day as my business partner and partner for life!  I love you all!
