Once again, I had the honor of working with  another member of a family I already had the pleasure of working with!  I loved working with Brittany and David to help bring together this beautiful fall wedding. We had fun creating custom details and unique touches.

The beautiful yellow and gray color palette got expressed in some really amazing textures threaded in to this day.  The couple hand crafted several of their wedding details that made it so special ~ we had fun creating details with them like the chalkboard vases that we got to write fun words on to the ‘Harry Potter’ inspired candy bar!

Grant at Something Special Florist designed such a lovely look with the yellow and whites, incorporating succulents in to the mix.  We decided to add in some antique furniture to bring in unique flare that the couple wanted~

As you go through the images, take a look at the description so you don’t miss some neat, fun ideas!!!

Dave Gilbert Photography provided us with the amazing images below~ thank you so much!!!

One of my favorite images of this couple!

LOVE this bouquet~ and that polka dot ribbon is super fabulous.

Lovely custom hanger~

I am a sucker for a bow tie~ David put together a great ensemble for his wedding day…

Candid photo of the space.

As guests arrived, they met this sweet little antique table dressed with hand-made poms on the tree~ galvanized tubs held pashminas and programs that were crossword puzzles on the back.

This program/crossword puzzle was so great!  Guests had the best time with this before ceremony began~

Another angle of the ceremony space ~ the handmade yellow fabric flower balls hanging we beautiful hanging behind them!

This was so sweet~ David came back down the aisle to meet Brittany and start their journey together at the beginning of the aisle.

Great chalkboard vases with custom messages 🙂

Of course we have to have Lawn Games for cocktail hour!!

This couple had the most amazing sense of humor!!!!

Inside ~ tables and ceiling were drapped in gray tulle!!!

Guests go the answers when they went in 🙂

Yummy yummy cupcakes for dessert!

So cute~ recycled paint can created to match the wedding was a great chiller!

Can’t you just feel the love!!!

Kaycie and Todd are so fun and happy, it was only natural that they picked a bright, cheerful color scheme for their spring wedding. Lots of hydrangeas in blue and coral plus details like the custom monogram and lantern centerpieces added just the right touch of the couple’s fresh style to their beautiful traditional southern venues.

The ceremony was at Rutledge Chapel on the USC horseshoe. The talented Kaycie loved their beautiful monogram, so she handpainted this canvas to mark the entrance.

The Lace House, where the reception was held is such a gorgeous venue. We placed tables on the balcony overlooking the dancefloor, and to continue with the monogram theme, we wrapped the ceneterpiece cube vases with ribbon topped with a printed monogram.

Parkland even created the monogram perfectly on the cake.

For downstairs tables, we used our black lanterns in the center of flower rings created by Bloom Service.

The bridesmaids’ bouquets spent the reception in vases on the gorgeous mantels in the Lace House.

After the ceremony, we brought the pew marker arrangements and hung on the doors throughout the house.

Love this view from the DJ tent once the reception was well underway.

One of my favorite favors ever…Adluh grits!

Gorgeous, gorgeous shot by the amazing Courtney Dox.

And the finally, the sparkler exit!

Sarah and Travis were a fun, laid-back couple, who put a lot of emphasis on making sure their guests had a wonderful time. And they certainly did! From gourmet food and an international wine bar, to late-night carriage rides and a fun photobooth, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Professional photos are thanks to Michael Koska Photography. The unmarked ones are candids we took while setting up.

As the setting for it all, they picked a beautiful southern venue, the SC Lace House, and let us help them bring their own unique style to it.

For the seated dinner, we set a mix of round and rectangular tables in the mall area in front of the House. We wanted to bring in the navy of the bridesmaid dresses, but keep the overall look light, so we used navy runners with lavender and apple green accents on white.

The governor even popped over to look at everything while we were setting up 🙂

LOVE these centerpieces for the round tables. Sarah saw a picture of it, we found the right vases and Savanda with Balloon Arches and Flowers made it gorgeous.

We created menus using a graphic of the lampposts on the Lace House grounds. And yes…we bought aLOTof green apples from Sam’s Club that week.

The arbor in full bloom made a gorgeous backdrop for the ceremony:

First dance under the clear-top tent on the terrace.

Since the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing were all in different locations on the grounds and in the house, Sarah had these fabulous signs made to help direct guests.

Instead of a big cake, they had a small one for cutting, plus individual pies and an ice cream sundae bar. YUM!

The “wines of the world” bar was a big hit!

And one final shot in front of the gorgeous fountain at the Lace House.

Lindsay and Derrick truly are each other’s sunshine…even on a cloudy, stormy day!!  Lindsay and I truly clicked when we met….not only were we on the same page, but I think we wrote the book together 🙂  This couple (along with their beautiful families) had ideas that I myself would use at my wedding (if I did it over).  First were the colors….I love, love, love the yellow- one of my favorites, then they added in the rich navy that just was gorgeous!

The Saluda River Club could not be a more lovely back drop for pairing of a natural feel and Lindsay’s chic fashion taste!  The yellow was so bright and beautiful outside for the ceremony ~ then bringing it in to the club with soft white and pops of blue were so elegant.  We added a few soft touches with draped fabric and candlelight that made this event soooo lovely!!

Kickstand Studio captured some AMAZING images that they were so kind to share, you will see them noted below!

We were able to get the ceremony complete before our rare March thunderstorms came rolling in!  Ceremony was so lovely…

This young man was so serious about his ‘job’ but wanted me to tell him ‘one more time’!

Lovely~

I just love how she is looking at him!  ….and of course the yellow flowers are just amazing!

Makes you cry when you see this!

Beautiful venue~ but you see our storm rolling in….

I want this pool 🙂

We have a fun guest book~

Larger shot of the guest book table ~ they wrote sweet notes and hung it on the twine with clothes pins!

…AND fun!!!!

What a gorgeous and amazing at home wedding!  Ben and Valerie had their very moving and fun ‘garden tea party’ themed wedding at the groom’s mother’s beautiful home!  Valerie specifically wanted to stay centered around a ‘antique tea party’ mixed with a natural feel so we had lots of fun gathering great decor for the event.

The couple was so open to all sorts of suggestions from us and floral designer, Grant at Something Special Florist!   We all created some neat, neat details that really brought this wedding to life!

We dance the night with Party Time DJ

So let’s begin out front of the house with the ceremony!  Grant came up with these monster moss balls to ‘lounge’ on the lawn and the moss monogram~ it was soooo lovely!

I grabbed one shot during the service 🙂

Here is the back yard set for reception ~

Closer shot, we used our burlap runners to give it a little rustic feel.

Now this I just love, Grant took our old silver tea pots, antique tea tins and cups and made arrangements in all of them!  This turned out SO perfect!!

I grabbed a shot from upstairs over the dance floor and yard!

Everyone really love the cake and cupcake display!

First dance 🙂

I love this night shot of the cafe lights~ so much fun!

This beautiful fall wedding was sassy, exciting, and an all around super fun time!  Perfect weather offered up a gorgeous back drop for the ceremony on the back lawn at the Seibels House….Sarah was a talented DIY bride that added in great details. The color palette is one of my favorites~ perfect for a November wedding vibrant and expressive.

After a touching ceremony, guests enjoyed dinner and dancing under the tent on the lawn as well~ even with a chill in the night air, everyone stayed warm as they danced the night away to PartyTime DJAnna Cline catered the event and was amazing as always!!! Rentals by Palmetto Party Rental.

Love this shot of Sarah and her girls…told you ….sassy and beautiful!!!

The ceremony programs were beautiful little bookmarks for guests to keep.

Love this ceremony shot!

Another angle.

So gorgeous and handsome….what a couple!

Yummy candy bar~

They had so many wonderful wedding photos from their families.

A  quick shot before chairs went out~ she wanted the string lights for a romantic glow and colored lanterns to bring in all the colors.

The bride created all the floral design herself!

An evening shot.

The couple could DANCE!!!

The wedding cake was created by the mother of the groom and the chocolates were from Chocolate Nirvana.

…and the groom’s cake was made by the mother of the groom as well…she is so talented!

Outdoor summer weddings in South Carolina can sometimes ‘make you raise your eyebrow’ every now and then ~ but when Carlo and Adriel came to me with their Southern flare and easy-going personalities…I knew we would make the August nuptials spectacular for all those coming from all over the country.

Yes – the Southern flare began with the perfect venue…the South Carolina Lace House!  Once the couple had selected this gorgeous location to marry each other, we began putting the pieces together of this lovely puzzle…

Let’s start our weekend with Friday night’s rehearsal dinner ~ they hosted a traditional BBQ dinner to give many ‘east coast guests’ a real treat!!!  The dinner was held at the Historic 701 Whaley building.  Capital City Catering did the most amazing job with their famous BBQ and fried chicken 🙂  I just LOVE the cast iron skillet they use ~ we topped the tables with burlap and mason jars filled with wild flowers (created by Think Floral – Debby West).

After a fun, relaxed evening Friday, we got up Saturday and began preparing for the wedding!   The couple married in the oh so quaint garden hidden in the back corner of the Lace House grounds.  The day was a little warm but the garden was shaded and comfortable.  We thought we may get that ‘traditional’ summer shower but we were so lucky that the clouds rolled in and just ‘hung out’ for a while.  Ceremony was so lovely, dinner was fabulous and dancing was non-stop (thanks to Partytime DJ)!!

Clark and Becki Berry captured this spectacular wedding ~ some of the photos below are obviously theirs :-).

Debby West/Think Floral created the so elegant baby’s breath arrangements for the ceremony and calla lily for reception!

The guests were treated to a beautiful plated dinner by Jack Brantley, Aberdeen Catering.  His exquisite collection of antique china was the icing on the cake for this beautiful design.

Seating cards were designed with the couples love of wine in mind!

Each table carried the name of one of the couples favorite restaurants that they enjoy in either Boston and San Fransisco!

The yummy, yummy cake was by Parkland Cakes!

This couple was so loving, sweet, kind and HAPPY!  This is what makes a wedding so absolutely perfect….and to top it off…their familes were exactly the same!

The June wedding took place at the beautiful Lace House in Columbia.  They got married out in front of the grounds ‘signature’ fountain and as you can see…it is amazing.

Below is the ceremony all set and ready- Debby West, Think Floral created the beautiful floral designs that really pulled it all together.

I love this photo as Brittany began to ‘walk down the aisle’ from the front of the house!

Candid shot during the ceremony.

They decided to do the ‘unity sand’ during their service – lovely touch.

…and of course a great fun monogram on the garden gate.

This was so great….they brought monogrammed buckets for the drink station out next to the ceremony to place water in!

Their beautiful cake by Dianna Tornow, Your Kind of Cake

Brenda Lee out of Manning catered the event- it was spectacular….one of my favorites was the caesar salad display!

…and this was the guests favorites…the ice cream bar!
