*This wedding and blog created/designed by Jill Areheart*

Many of our brides and grooms have stressful jobs and busy lives, but Betsy and Jerad kind of win. They are both fighter pilots in the US Air Force and decided to plan their wedding in just three – yes three – months.

During that short time, they had training exercises across the country and Jerad even got deployed overseas. We would have been thrilled to work with them no matter what, but their great attitudes and fun personalities made it an especially wonderful experience.

Vendors:

Ceremony venue: Trenholm Road United Methodist Church

Reception venue: 300 Senate

Catering: Dupre Catering and Events

Floral Design:  Something Special Florist

Music: Don Russo

Rentals: Palmetto Party Rental

Cake: Parties to Go

Design/Set: By Invitation Only….Event Planning & Design

Here is the room from a couple of different angles. They really wanted bright, happy colors. Royal blue and kelly green are the ones that really spoke to Betsy, with some bright yellow mixed in. Luckily their venue – 300 Senate – made a great backdrop for that kind of color. We mixed in some lighter shades to keep everything from being overwhelming, and it turned out gorgeous!

I told them we would add in the bright colored hanging lanterns with the white until it “started getting obnoxious.” I think we ended up with just the right amount to pull the room together.

I love that Grant with Something Special Florist did three distinct types of centerpieces. Mixed with the different colored runners, each table had slightly different look.

For the huge outside deck, we pulled in more of the yellow, and used our simple black lanterns on the tall cocktail tables.

LOVED the jelly bean bar. Betsy and her mom carefully selected the yummiest flavors that fit the color scheme: lemon drop, margarita, and blueberry. Each guest could fill a little box with their favorites.

They really wanted a picture with the Gervais Street bridge in the background, so they took a few minutes to trek with Zach Hoffman though the woods so he could get this perfect shot.

This wedding is beyond words in many ways!!!  Elizabeth and Andrew came to us asking for help to bring their wedding to life and together in a very special location ~ an arboretum in Boykin, South Carolina.  This space was gorgeous and holds a special place in their hearts so we began working on the design and layout of the weekend.

We worked closely with, of course, the couple, but also Capital City Catering, Palmetto Party Rental and American Floral to get all aspects ‘in-line’ and unique to this couple.

The love and friendship that we got to be a part of during this wedding was so moving~ all the details in the wedding spoke directly of the couples relationship and future which made it so very meaningful and unique~

Due to all the images, I will talk about them as you go through the amazing images from Sara Parker and the details!!

We have amazing vendor love here:

So…as you can see from the title (that Darren came up with) she really did love his tractor 🙂  I just love this sign detail!

Andrew created their ‘directional sign’ from a reclaimed door out of a house on the property.

Now this is soooo great….the guys wore bow ties with cotton bowls on and then each wore a bout. of cotton and pheasant feathers!!

Love the bright colors ~ bouquest were wrapped with spanish moss….great touch!

This cute little flower girl basket custom with the ‘A+E’

Hand-made monograms hung on the entry columns to great guests.

Look at this gazebo!!  Andrew actually built this to marry his wife in….breath taking~ Americanl Floral did the perfect additions to add their colors and texture!

The fresh squeezed lemonade station by Capital City Catering, complete with mason jars!

Inside of the tent

So great….quail and cat-fish station.

Soooo beautiful was this collard and black-eyed pea station!!!  LOVE the bricks and mason jars!!

A great look at the smores station…

Smores station in action!!

Now this is so lovely….from the same house they used more reclaimed wood to make this one of a kind bar!!

Love this ‘hay bale coffee table’

Oh so yummy cake….

One of my favorite cake toppers, matches the hanging monograms!

We took a traditional silver candelabra and had them turn it in to this gorgeous creation!

Our hanging mason jars with candles

The couple had a silver signature tray for their guestbook!

Even more unique and fun….the couples favorite pickles as favors!

Another great image in the wheat field

Their send was wodnerful….and yes, on the tractor!

Sarah and Travis were a fun, laid-back couple, who put a lot of emphasis on making sure their guests had a wonderful time. And they certainly did! From gourmet food and an international wine bar, to late-night carriage rides and a fun photobooth, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Professional photos are thanks to Michael Koska Photography. The unmarked ones are candids we took while setting up.

As the setting for it all, they picked a beautiful southern venue, the SC Lace House, and let us help them bring their own unique style to it.

For the seated dinner, we set a mix of round and rectangular tables in the mall area in front of the House. We wanted to bring in the navy of the bridesmaid dresses, but keep the overall look light, so we used navy runners with lavender and apple green accents on white.

The governor even popped over to look at everything while we were setting up 🙂

LOVE these centerpieces for the round tables. Sarah saw a picture of it, we found the right vases and Savanda with Balloon Arches and Flowers made it gorgeous.

We created menus using a graphic of the lampposts on the Lace House grounds. And yes…we bought aLOTof green apples from Sam’s Club that week.

The arbor in full bloom made a gorgeous backdrop for the ceremony:

First dance under the clear-top tent on the terrace.

Since the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing were all in different locations on the grounds and in the house, Sarah had these fabulous signs made to help direct guests.

Instead of a big cake, they had a small one for cutting, plus individual pies and an ice cream sundae bar. YUM!

The “wines of the world” bar was a big hit!

And one final shot in front of the gorgeous fountain at the Lace House.

Oh my goodness…where to begin…well, where you should always begin, at the beginning with a blank…TENNIS COURT and a beautiful home.

Mary Elizabeth came to us to help create a beautiful at home wedding for her 400 guests!  We called in some amazing and talented vendors to work very closely on the details since weddings that take place at home or that are what build from the ground up have many, many details from large to small with each one being very important!

We designed with them for months on creating very unique and different spaces over the property and in the home.  They wanted every inch used in a way that guests had a different experience as they moved through out ~ touching all the senses.

As you will see below, we transformed their ‘back yard’ in to a gorgeous, memorable event ~ enjoy the images as we talk about them.

This was such a fun wedding! Jessica was one of the happiest bride’s I’ve ever seen – and that’s saying a lot! She and Billy and their families are so full of love and kindness and wanted to make sure that not only was it a special day for them, but a wonderful event for their guests as well.

The reception was at 701 Whaley, and the coral and apple green colors were perfect. We anchored the large space with black linens, so the bright colors could really pop. And Jessica really focused her flower budget on some “wow” pieces. Combined with the gorgeous food from Capital City Catering, the whole event was striking and fun.

But what made the reception really special were all the personal touches: from the cookie buffet with homemade treats from family and friends, to the basket of flip flops for dancing, and the adorable kids table to cater to all the little ones, they made sure everyone was attended to and included as part of the day.

Thanks to Landon Jacobs for the photos.

Shot of the reception in full swing. You can see the paper lanterns we hung over the dancefloor and the fabulous hanging floral piece from Something Special.

The Cookie Buffet! We found the perfect color ribbon and paper to bring in the coral and apple green.

Jessica is a teacher and a devoted aunt and wanted to make sure there was a fun kids table with food just for the little ones. A friend made the adorable sign and we had a blast creating decorations for the table.

We topped the guest tables with coral and apple green fabric woven around cylinder candles.

For the cake table, we layered one of our favorite linens – an ivory rosette – over coral and hung wrought iron lanterns above.

Melanie here… adding a shot Jill did not 🙂 but it is great….we created a photo booth and Lacy and Jill jumped in for a quick fun shot!

Love this shot!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE when we are lucky enough to be part of a wedding in which we have already had the honor of working with the family 🙂  Several years ago we met the Anderson family when their first daughter got married….now we were called on to help plan with their next daughter getting married~ it was soooo amazing to be with this beautiful family once again!

One of the best parts about working with Catherine and Carl was the connection we already had with them ~ they have been working with our company over the past few months and we have gotten so close…the hard part was trying to keep Catherine from ‘working’ her own wedding – she is so cute!

The day was perfect and beautiful ~ the couple wanted a traditional Southern wedding experience in every detail, so we began with the private ceremony being held at Rutledge Chapel and the Historic Seibels House and Gardens as the reception backdrop.  Southern was in everything….Jack Brantley once again catered for this family and American Floral created the gorgeous floral design that contained my favorite….Dogwood ~ how much more Southern can you get??

Now when I say this family was fun….that is an understatement.  When the bride shared a dance with her dad….it took an interesting turn, the entire Anderson family stepped out on the dance floor and did ‘The Hustle’ ~ beyond AWESOME (see photo below)!!!

Gorgeous food displays~

Yes….and this is the family doing ‘The Hustle’ 🙂

And of course, all the crew had to come to her wedding!!!  Love you girl!!

I know every week I talk about how amazing this weeks couple is…but I guess we are so blessed with amazing brides, grooms, families and friends that I begin to sound like a broken record but it is SO true!  I can not begin to tell you how much I absolutely adore this couple!!!!

Ginny and Ken are loving, sweet, gorgeous and SO in love!!!  They planned their oh so fun and exciting wedding in their hometown of Manning.  They knew they were going to have LOTS of family and friends attending so they selected the largest venue that could accommodate them ~ but they really wanted to make sure the space had a different look and feel as other events that had been there and of course, we wanted to make sure that it was custom to THEM~ so we went to work!!!!

They selected a color palette that was gorgeous, but Ginny was not sure how she wanted it to come together, so we began working with it, creating that personalized feel and with the help of BBJ Linen ~ it all came together in an amazing scene of texture and boldness!  We wanted to transform the room so we began by wrapping it!!!  This gave us the clean, bright base to begin working on…

Ginny wanted to make sure we mixed things up a little so you will see a few ‘different’ touches and custom details!!  Also I got to work with some of the BEST vendors…which as I ALWAYS say makes for the most perfect event!!

The funny on this event was this is where the B.I.O. team got named the ‘event fairies’..and it has stayed with us~ just my giggle for the day!

So on to the great stuff….PHOTOS~ now some are candid, but others were graciously given to us by Megan Manus Photography!! (Thank you!!)

Okay…just LOOK at this couple…I am jealous!

So before and after photos are always so neat just to show what can happen…

so here is the entry before ~

…and after.  So, we created a fun gift table and are REALLY fun signature drink display!

Here is the before images of the main room…

And the awesome after!  This photo does not do it justice!

Another angle~

There were a few signs we needed to hide so I made a custom cover and monogram for it!  This was above the back bar bookcase.

And more of the room from other angles.

From the lounge area~

Look how beautiful!!!!!!!

Lindsay and Derrick truly are each other’s sunshine…even on a cloudy, stormy day!!  Lindsay and I truly clicked when we met….not only were we on the same page, but I think we wrote the book together 🙂  This couple (along with their beautiful families) had ideas that I myself would use at my wedding (if I did it over).  First were the colors….I love, love, love the yellow- one of my favorites, then they added in the rich navy that just was gorgeous!

The Saluda River Club could not be a more lovely back drop for pairing of a natural feel and Lindsay’s chic fashion taste!  The yellow was so bright and beautiful outside for the ceremony ~ then bringing it in to the club with soft white and pops of blue were so elegant.  We added a few soft touches with draped fabric and candlelight that made this event soooo lovely!!

Kickstand Studio captured some AMAZING images that they were so kind to share, you will see them noted below!

Lovely~

I just love how she is looking at him!  ….and of course the yellow flowers are just amazing!

Makes you cry when you see this!

I want this pool 🙂
