When I first met Chrissie I was so excited to be a part of her special day. She was full of life & that southern sweetness that Carolina girls are known for. The backdrop for this amazing day began in a quaint little white church built in 1884. With its amazing architectural aspects it was a perfect spot for Chrissie & Paul to start forever together.

After a sweet ceremony filled with lots of emotion & love the bridal party drove to the McCants family home in the blue Chevy truck that Paul picked Chrissy up for on their first date.

Chrissie wanted bright & vibrant colors as well & choose some wonderful fuchsia & orange colors that popped against the beautiful backdrop of their family home.  As guests arrive, they were treated to fabulous homemade peach jam.

We were able to create a design that incorporated market umbrellas for each of her food stations that the wonderful Capital City Catering delivered amazing food underneath, including homemade churned peach ice cream!

We added a beautiful lounging area underneath one of the old, large oak trees & hung crystal chandeliers above to bring the indoors out with an elegant yet outdoor southern feel. After the sun set it was a popular area for guests to gather underneath.

This wedding was so special to all of us~ Rachel is one of the B.I.O. family so of course being able to help them make their day so special was an honor!  We truly felt like part of their families~ they welcomed us with open arms.

Rachel wanted her summer wedding to have bright, bold colors that popped in the beautiful 701 Whaley!  Ceremony was upstairs in the lovely Granby Room.  The emotion that came forward during the service moved us all ~ not a dry eye.

Rachel and Quinn selected great vendors that made a great team to bring all the details together ~ each detail was perfected and truly enjoyed by everyone.

Their lovely ceremony set up.

I love this moment…

Very sadly, Rachel’s brother is stationed overseas and could not make the wedding, but he was very close to her through the entire event~ Scott at American Floral made sure.

Room shot where you can see the vibrant blue draping and how it matched the bold floral design.

American Floral created both tall and low centerpieces that work great in this room!

Fun photos dressed the windows.

Great evening shot of our food display and florals.

Love the mint green cake ~ Carol of course did a beautiful job!!

In this you can see the light strands we did over the dance floor.

And I had to add this….I love her expression!!!  BEAUTIFUL!

This title is SO fitting for this couple and this day!!!  OH MY GOSH~ look at this gorgeous couple and their beautiful wedding!  It could not have been more perfect.

I absolutely loved working with them, their families and their friends ~ Brittany loved the  ‘billowy cloud’ feel in the flowers with touches of lace and elegance to tie the classic color palette together with texture.  Her stunning dress brought it all together with those amazing ruffles ~ a perfect match.

Their faith and love shown through in their looks between them, words spoken to each other and all the laughs they shared throughout the night.  During the planning process, Brittany ‘tweeted’ that I was her fairy godmother~ I don’t think I have ever had such a moment of glee :))

Some of these details have been favorites of mine!  I love the lace over lay for the cake table, so sweet and elegant!  I also absolutely love the ‘guestbook’ was a cook book from one of their favorite restaurants…and their gifts for bridal party were perfect, monogrammed jute bags and pocket knives…SO Southern!!!

Enjoy these amazing photos from Courtney Dox Photography~ they are stunning….

Their guest book that I am in love with!!

This has become a signature photo for 701 ~ but I just love how all the elements are perfect!!!

Their pretty programs.

Love these bags….I was honored to be given one by the couple as a thank you gift….I use it everyday!

These are SO cute!

Look at this beautiful bridal party!

Sexy getaway!

Many of our brides and grooms have stressful jobs and busy lives, but Betsy and Jerad kind of win. They are both fighter pilots in the US Air Force and decided to plan their wedding in just three – yes three – months.

During that short time, they had training exercises across the country and Jerad even got deployed overseas. We would have been thrilled to work with them no matter what, but their great attitudes and fun personalities made it an especially wonderful experience.

Here is the room from a couple of different angles. They really wanted bright, happy colors. Royal blue and kelly green are the ones that really spoke to Betsy, with some bright yellow mixed in. Luckily their venue – 300 Senate – made a great backdrop for that kind of color. We mixed in some lighter shades to keep everything from being overwhelming, and it turned out gorgeous!

I told them we would add in the bright colored hanging lanterns with the white until it “started getting obnoxious.” I think we ended up with just the right amount to pull the room together.

I love that Grant with Something Special Florist did three distinct types of centerpieces. Mixed with the different colored runners, each table had slightly different look.

For the huge outside deck, we pulled in more of the yellow, and used our simple black lanterns on the tall cocktail tables.

LOVED the jelly bean bar. Betsy and her mom carefully selected the yummiest flavors that fit the color scheme: lemon drop, margarita, and blueberry. Each guest could fill a little box with their favorites.

They really wanted a picture with the Gervais Street bridge in the background, so they took a few minutes to trek with Zach Hoffman though the woods so he could get this perfect shot.

Oh my gosh ~ well you all know how connected we get to our couples after working together during the planning process, but when you start out working on a wedding of a dear friend ~ man can you just get carried away (sort of)!

BIO planner, Jill Areheart came to me stating that a very dear friend of hers was getting married and she wanted us to work together on helping Natasha and Andrew bring their dream to life!!  I was so honored that Jill asked me to work with her on this and the excitement we all got when we met even the first time blew us away!

Natasha and Andrew, along with their families had really beautiful, grand ideas~ when we joined forces, it truly took on a life of its own and I know I look at these images once a week!

This wedding was so much fun ~ one funny moment I have to touch on is that father of the bride is a KISS fan and made sure that we had a visit from a ‘KISS’ member to entertain us…it was so awesome!

Who ever said that an ‘all white wedding’ could not pack some ‘WOW’ needs to take a look here and see its elegance and beauty!

Makes me cry each time I look at it….

The floral design was so beautiful throughout the club~ carrying the look of elegance everywhere you went.

We transformed the library with drape and crystals to a fun martini bar.

Fun dancing shoes!

Love the fun send off we did ~

Oh my goodness…where to begin…well, where you should always begin, at the beginning with a blank…TENNIS COURT and a beautiful home.

Mary Elizabeth came to us to help create a beautiful at home wedding for her 400 guests!  We called in some amazing and talented vendors to work very closely on the details since weddings that take place at home or that are what build from the ground up have many, many details from large to small with each one being very important!

We designed with them for months on creating very unique and different spaces over the property and in the home.  They wanted every inch used in a way that guests had a different experience as they moved through out ~ touching all the senses.

As you will see below, we transformed their ‘back yard’ in to a gorgeous, memorable event ~ enjoy the images as we talk about them.

This was such a fun wedding! Jessica was one of the happiest bride’s I’ve ever seen – and that’s saying a lot! She and Billy and their families are so full of love and kindness and wanted to make sure that not only was it a special day for them, but a wonderful event for their guests as well.

The reception was at 701 Whaley, and the coral and apple green colors were perfect. We anchored the large space with black linens, so the bright colors could really pop. And Jessica really focused her flower budget on some “wow” pieces. Combined with the gorgeous food from Capital City Catering, the whole event was striking and fun.

But what made the reception really special were all the personal touches: from the cookie buffet with homemade treats from family and friends, to the basket of flip flops for dancing, and the adorable kids table to cater to all the little ones, they made sure everyone was attended to and included as part of the day.

Thanks to Landon Jacobs for the photos.

Shot of the reception in full swing. You can see the paper lanterns we hung over the dancefloor and the fabulous hanging floral piece from Something Special.

The Cookie Buffet! We found the perfect color ribbon and paper to bring in the coral and apple green.

Jessica is a teacher and a devoted aunt and wanted to make sure there was a fun kids table with food just for the little ones. A friend made the adorable sign and we had a blast creating decorations for the table.

We topped the guest tables with coral and apple green fabric woven around cylinder candles.

For the cake table, we layered one of our favorite linens – an ivory rosette – over coral and hung wrought iron lanterns above.

Melanie here… adding a shot Jill did not 🙂 but it is great….we created a photo booth and Lacy and Jill jumped in for a quick fun shot!

Love this shot!

What an amazing design this wedding turned out to be!!!  When Kim, and mother Karen, came to me to help bring their graphic and interior design background ideas together…I was hoping I could help enhance what was already in their minds with our experience~ but I truly never knew how spectacular all the details were going to be…they blew me away with their unique touches and creativity…but what should I expect from designers :-)))

Kim and Karen we so committed to some very, very special touches that they specifically wanted to create~ once created, we helped them incorporate them in to the gorgeous space at the Historic 701 Whaley Building ~ this wedding has been labeled ‘urban chic’!

The most amazing detail was of course the 1000 cranes that the bride folded herself…the tradition states that  you fold 1,000 cranes as a wish for a long and prosperous marriage, so she did!  It really was one of the most amazing details I think I have had the pleasure of experiencing in a wedding!  Her dedication was so heart warming, and they turned out gorgeous as an addition to the event itself.

We had the most amazing group of vendors to work with!!!!  Most of these really amazing images were capture by Brantley and Richard, All Dressed Up Photography

The always wonderful, super scrumptious food and bar were provided by Capital City Catering.  Lee Anne and I worked on this event closely to bring it together…we are a pretty good team in the design department 🙂

And many thanks to the Palmetto Party Rental crew!!!

Printed items designed and created by the bride herself ~ below is the program that I just love!

Close up of the custom made pillow covers and bouquet.

This almost life size portrait was just “WOW” ~ the drift wood floor piece was specifically collected for the reception, other pieces were used around the space as well.

Love, love the finger print guest book!!

We created a fun, unique ‘lounge space’ within 701 Whaley.

If you look through, you can see the lighted bar in the back by Capital City Catering, with B.I.O. bookcase back bar and more wood structures on top.

NOW….here is your frist glimpse of the cranes over the cake…she used part of them over and on the cake!

….and the main attraction….the breath-taking crane chandelier over the perfect white dance floor!

Nothing like having a lovely hanging floral design over your food station…now is there!?

The loveliest shot of the cranes on the cake and its own crane chandelier~

Menus 🙂

The cigar bar outside…of course…huge hit.

The couple gave beautiful custom etched glasses to their guests!

And this was awesome….thier signature drink used dry ice that was so much fun!

Again…was too neat and fun~ thank you for letting us be a part of your truley amazing day!
