Once again, I had the honor of working with  another member of a family I already had the pleasure of working with!  I loved working with Brittany and David to help bring together this beautiful fall wedding. We had fun creating custom details and unique touches.

The beautiful yellow and gray color palette got expressed in some really amazing textures threaded in to this day.  The couple hand crafted several of their wedding details that made it so special ~ we had fun creating details with them like the chalkboard vases that we got to write fun words on to the ‘Harry Potter’ inspired candy bar!

Grant at Something Special Florist designed such a lovely look with the yellow and whites, incorporating succulents in to the mix.  We decided to add in some antique furniture to bring in unique flare that the couple wanted~

As you go through the images, take a look at the description so you don’t miss some neat, fun ideas!!!

Dave Gilbert Photography provided us with the amazing images below~ thank you so much!!!

LOVE this bouquet~ and that polka dot ribbon is super fabulous.

I am a sucker for a bow tie~ David put together a great ensemble for his wedding day…

Candid photo of the space.

As guests arrived, they met this sweet little antique table dressed with hand-made poms on the tree~ galvanized tubs held pashminas and programs that were crossword puzzles on the back.

This program/crossword puzzle was so great!  Guests had the best time with this before ceremony began~

Another angle of the ceremony space ~ the handmade yellow fabric flower balls hanging we beautiful hanging behind them!

This was so sweet~ David came back down the aisle to meet Brittany and start their journey together at the beginning of the aisle.

Great chalkboard vases with custom messages 🙂

Of course we have to have Lawn Games for cocktail hour!!

This couple had the most amazing sense of humor!!!!

Inside ~ tables and ceiling were drapped in gray tulle!!!

Guests go the answers when they went in 🙂

Yummy yummy cupcakes for dessert!

So cute~ recycled paint can created to match the wedding was a great chiller!

The ‘Harry Potter’ candy bar on one of our pieces of antique furniture.

Can’t you just feel the love!!!

Caroline and Harris came to us from another one of our beautiful brides!  I love when our past couples ‘pass us on’ to our new couples ~ it warms our hearts.  Working with Caroline and Harris as well as their families was a wonderful experiene~ each of them had great ideas/thoughts about the details and specifics ~ we teamed up to help create a gorgeous, memorable event.

The coupled married at Alhambra Hall in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.  The event had elements from both Charleston and Columbia, places dear to the couple.  I had the pleasure of working with some of the most wonderful vendors as well that made a perfect team to bring it all together.

Sara York Grimshaw created the floral design that was so lovely~ incorporating Southern cotton bowls in to Caroline’s bouquet and boutonniere.  Magnolia leaf garlands draped the back of the ceremony chairs in richness ~ and  large wrought iron lanterns hung from the rafters inside and dress the tables to create beautiful Southern elegance.

Guests were treated to a true Southern item (and Columbia tie)…Adluh Grits!

Lindsey Alexander captured this wedding and its details ~ she documented the day exquisitly….this wedding had such lovely details that it had the honor of being featured on The Wedding Row blog!

Talk about being in full {Spring} swing….the colors of this wedding are so vibrant and exciting~ I loved, loved, loved working with this family.  So creative, fun and excited about every detail.

We were so lucky to be back down at the beautiful Citadel Beach House and once again working with the talented Juliet Elizabeth Photography!!!  The Beach House is fabulous for larger guests list like this one ~ we were able to use all aspects of the house and grounds for the entire event.

Ceremony was out on the lawn, having the ocean as it’s back drop and custom hand painted aisle runner ~ we them moved the festivities of cocktail hour on the patio.  The couple chose a yummy, yummy signature cocktail to be served in their custom created cups.  They served  traditional jumbo shrimp cocktail around their custom ice sculpture….just perfect details tied it all together.

You can see the absolutely gorgeous floral design throughout the event created by Branch Design.

In the house, we enjoyed abundant and delicious eats from Catering for All Occasions ~ we kept the design very crisp with all whites and then let the vibrant color of the floral design really pop!

Fun was truly had by all…they danced the night away, we hated to leave 😦

Photos below are a mix, but Juliet’s work is obvious ~ thank you so much for sharing!!!

Look at this gorgeous couple!!!!

Several years ago, Darren and I met a couple that we really clicked with~ they brought us on to help with their wedding in Charleston.  During their event, we had the absolute best time with their bridal party….they were SO MUCH FUN!  A few years went by and I got a phone call from Ariane….a bridesmaid from that very couple’s wedding.  She was getting married and wanted us to do her wedding, we were beyond thrilled and honored!!!!

Not that it was a surprise, but we clicked with Ariane and David  in the same way…. I was ready for the fun to begin again!!!  Ariane’s attention to detail is exquisite ~ you will see it all through the photos below.  As you can see, NO detail was too small to bring to life.

They selected the Citadel Beach House in Isle of Palms for both ceremony and reception….beautiful.  I was so lucky to work with the unbelievably talented Juliet Elizabeth Photography once again!!!

Photos below are a mix of my candid and Juliet’s wonderful images….her photos carry her logo.

Guests got to take home a wonderful snack of candied pecans.

I have been ‘thinking and working’ on this blog for some time now for many, many reasons!!!  I don’t know where to begin…truly?? So, I will start at the beginning…that is the beginning of Candice and Jimmy!  I LOVE their story~ Candice and Jimmy met through eHarmony…and I can truly say it was the best match ever made 🙂 (in my opinion and many others)!  They were so special to eHarmony that we will even see them on one of their commercials in the future ~

This couple moves me every time I am with them~and to make it even more wonderful, they have families that make you ‘one of the family’ when you are with them.  I felt so welcome and loved.

Now- we did have an interesting planning process…I will not go in to details, but we were thrown that proverbial ‘monkey wrench’ early on but things worked out to be the most amazing and breath-taking wedding.  Sometimes you have to just GO with those blessings in disguise.

This most amazing wedding took place at the exquisite Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina.  The plantation is so lovely but we added so really beautiful touches and spaces that everyone enjoyed.

The amazing floral design below was created by American Floral ~ Scott Jones and his team stepped up and passed themselves on this challenge!  The worked closely with the mother of the bride, who is a floral designer herself, to create an explosion of color and texture that was show stopping. Please pay close attention to the gorgeous brides bouquet of orchids….just amazing!

I am commenting as you go through the images so you can see all the details ~ some images are candid from our camera and others were provided by their photographer, White Box Weddings!!! (Thank you so much)

Please take a few moments to read the comments….

Ceremony took place out in front of the house…we let the huge old oak be the back drop for the ceremony, surrounded by the beautiful florals by American Floral.

Given the ‘warm day’ we are inclined to have here in South Carolina, each seat had a rattan fan dressed with monogrammed ribbon for guests.

Just a unique angle for the ceremony.

Candice and Jimmy coming back down the aisle- such happiness!

Here is a collage of images of details from White Box….

Out on the patio, we used some great rattan furniture from Duvall Events…

One shot from under the tent of guests tables….florals here were created by the mother of the bride.

On the back patio, we created a square bar for guests to enjoy- the center housed our bookshelf back bar and then we added bar stools to each end for a fun experience.

More seating areas…

The cake was created by the talented Ashley Bakery– Hayden never ever fails me!

Out on the lawn, we have romantic and fun lounge areas with chandeliers hung in the trees….items provided by Duvall Events.

MY FAVORITE photo!!!!!!

…no words necessary….

I know, odd title being that I don’t have children, HOWEVER this wedding really made me stop and ‘smell the roses’ while we were planning.  The bride is the sister of my best friend who I met in 6th grade!!!  When I met Trish, Grayson (the bride) was ‘a baby’ to us….but she was my sister too since Trish and I basically grew up together!   On May 2nd, I watched this amazing and beautiful woman marry her love…it was so emotional for all of us to be together ~ being a part of this was so very special for me!!

The couple picked such beautiful locations for their ceremony and reception…the service was performed by the bride’s grandfather at St. Luke’s Chapel in downtown Charleston.  Guests then made their way to the oh so beautiful Charlestown Landing ~ Legare Waring House…it all was so amazing.

Below are many photos of the events…Erin with Gene Ho Photography shared some of her fabulous images….thank you so much.

Florals were created by Frampton’s Florist.

The couple got engaged in front of the American Theater….Ryan used the marquee to propose, so of course they went back for this fabulous shot!

We used our fabulous antique mason jars with a lovely hydrangea bloom.

Candles around the fountain was so romantic later in the evening

The mother of the bride made wonderful home-made cookies for the cookie bar.

The beautiful bridal party!!!  (photo by me)

Cute bottle koozies.

One of my favorites…my dear friend Trish and lovely bride Grayson!!!

The bride’s bouquet carried a locket with her father’s photo.

I just love these last two shots Erin got of the tent at night…so beautiful!!!

Kira and Ryan came to us all the way from beautiful Southern California!  They had looked literally all over the world for the absolute perfect location to marry each other…and they finally found it in Charleston, South Carolina.  As Kira states… they were “swept away by the beauty of Charleston”.  When we met, they expressed that it was very important for them to have flowers that create an English garden style look.  They really  wanted  a Victorian look and feel…so we went on the hunt for the perfect location!  During the process, they came across the amazing Wentworth Mansion ~ and needless to say…it was PERFECT!

The ceremony took place at The Wenthworth Mansion  at 1pm and the reception began at 6pm.  The garden was a perfect size for the 65 guests – Gayla at Tiger Lily Florist  turned a classic wrought iron arch into a floral ‘gate’ that looked like it grew straight out of the ground!!!  It was so intimate and romantic.

Some photos were taken by us but the really fabulous ones were taken by Karyn Iserman ~thank you Karyn!

Guests were given fabulous bags with goodies to let them know about Charleston!

The time that was built-in after the ceremony allowed all of the out-of-town guests to explore the beautiful city of Charleston.  It also allowed Kira and Ryan  a fabulous block of time to travel through this historic city and get the most amazing photos with the unbelievably talented Karyn Iserman.

The reception was held at Society Hall.  The flower arrangements on each table carried through the English garden feel. They had little cards on each table that had a love quote from famous people and fragrant sprigs of rosemary at each place setting with a thank you to each guest dressed the table beautifully. They added personal touches to each detail of the wedding.

Cru Catering did the most amazing job on this fabulous dinner…guest were greeted as they entered Society Hall with a new Charleston (and Southern) favorite…sweet tea vodka and lemonade….the Arnold Palmer with a twist!

The couple had a ‘late night’ crepe station that perfectly hit the spot!

The beautiful cake was created by Ashley Bakery!!!

I am speechless (as if that would ever happen)… however this wedding was just so breath-taking and beautiful that words cannot express my thoughts completely!  It all started with a gorgeous couple and their unbelievable families!

Tabitha and David decided to have their inter-faith wedding at one of Charleston’s most famous and sought after locations, the Citadel Beach House.  During the planning process, they picked the most amazing vendors to make this wedding so amazing and special.  They began with the photographer they JUST HAD TO HAVE ~  Tracy Turpen was a perfect fit for this very artistic, creative couple.

The bride gets her creativity honestly…her mother hand-made most all of the personalized details that you will see throughout the images.

Tabitha and David took different aspects of their wedding and made them so unique….it began with one of the most beautiful and unique chuppahs I have seen.  It was created on site and made out of native driftwood!  It was a work of art!

I am just going to start with the photos and chat about it as I go since it really is so amazing!

The so fabulous food was provided by Good Food Catering– what an amazing job they did!!!!  All the great entertainment was provided by Sam Bigby~

As guest arrived in the parking area, they were greeted by this lovely sign made by mother of the bride….

This hand painted sign met guests at the road…

Here is that amazing drift wood chuppah!!!

Well the only little ‘issue’ we had was the uncontrollable weather…so we did have to add our ‘rain’ tent for the ceremony but it was still so moving and beautiful!

Now these shots just take my breath and bring tears to my eyes….look at this look and emotion!

This image defines ‘the look of love’!!!!!

The flower girls carried Charleston sweet grass baskets…

Now this was so amazing….her mother created these seating cards, each was a customized small glass bottle with a personalized message in it 🙂  –

Here is a room view from the balcony in the beach house.  I loved their colors of tan, olive and a slate blue!!!!

A view from the entry doors…

Another room shot- you can see the gorgeous center pieces created by the oh so amazing Tiger Lily (Gayla).  They were lovely tall vase with manzanita branches with hanging votives and small square vases at the bottom topped with hydrangea bloom.

The porch…

The tables were dressed with rattan chargers and the table numbers were small wooden boxes and white printed vellum made my mother of the bride ~ each had a votive inside.

The memorable sweet grass cake created by Ashley Bakery!

My favorite….the BLUE candy bar!

The scrapbook created at the photo booth provided by Shutterbooth!  There was a line all night!

Her gorgeous portrait taken at Lowndes Grove Plantation

The couple provided ‘dancing shoes’ for all their guests!

Each custom-made out-of-town gift bag for their guest carried their custom designed monogram compass!!

The personalized bottle water.

Here are the invitations these were created by Tara at Jot Paper!

Programs created by mother of the bride.

And the most amazing final shot…
