When I first met Chrissie I was so excited to be a part of her special day. She was full of life & that southern sweetness that Carolina girls are known for. The backdrop for this amazing day began in a quaint little white church built in 1884. With its amazing architectural aspects it was a perfect spot for Chrissie & Paul to start forever together.

(Some of these beautiful images are by Richard Ellis Photography, which are marked, others are candid!!)

After a sweet ceremony filled with lots of emotion & love the bridal party drove to the McCants family home in the blue Chevy truck that Paul picked Chrissy up for on their first date.

Chrissie wanted bright & vibrant colors as well & choose some wonderful fuchsia & orange colors that popped against the beautiful backdrop of their family home.  As guests arrive, they were treated to fabulous homemade peach jam.

We were able to create a design that incorporated market umbrellas for each of her food stations that the wonderful Capital City Catering delivered amazing food underneath, including homemade churned peach ice cream!

We added a beautiful lounging area underneath one of the old, large oak trees & hung crystal chandeliers above to bring the indoors out with an elegant yet outdoor southern feel. After the sun set it was a popular area for guests to gather underneath.

This wedding was so special to all of us~ Rachel is one of the B.I.O. family so of course being able to help them make their day so special was an honor!  We truly felt like part of their families~ they welcomed us with open arms.

Rachel wanted her summer wedding to have bright, bold colors that popped in the beautiful 701 Whaley!  Ceremony was upstairs in the lovely Granby Room.  The emotion that came forward during the service moved us all ~ not a dry eye.

Rachel and Quinn selected great vendors that made a great team to bring all the details together ~ each detail was perfected and truly enjoyed by everyone.

I love this moment…

Very sadly, Rachel’s brother is stationed overseas and could not make the wedding, but he was very close to her through the entire event~ Scott at American Floral made sure.

Room shot where you can see the vibrant blue draping and how it matched the bold floral design.

American Floral created both tall and low centerpieces that work great in this room!

Fun photos dressed the windows.

Great evening shot of our food display and florals.

Love the mint green cake ~ Carol of course did a beautiful job!!

In this you can see the light strands we did over the dance floor.

And I had to add this….I love her expression!!!  BEAUTIFUL!

I absolutely love when we get clients that come to us as a referral from past couples!!! It warms our hearts and means so much to us that they have tat faith and belief in our abilities!

Allison and Brian came to us not sure exactly where they wanted the reception to take place ~ at home back yard or Darlington Country Club.  They love the idea of using the club but they wanted to make sure they could transform the space to make it very custom and unique for their event.  We knew we could help them with this ~ having fun with the different spaces in the club and introducing some new, fun elements!

They gathered an amazing group of vendors together and through the planning process, we developed a lovely atmosphere that their guest thoroughly enjoyed.  Capital City Catering came in and created {of course} a very custom and fun menu~ they played on the individual room’s personality to tailor the station’s designs to fit. (you can see all of this below)

As guests moved through the venue, they got to experience neat spaces that came to life with lighting, floral design, and unique elements. The mirror top tables accented the beautiful floral creations that changed with each room to reflect its design.

I truly believe fun was had by all 🙂 ~ , ate tons on yummy foods, traveled through the rooms, stopping to enjoy each atmosphere and danced the night away!!

Thank you Steve Roos for sharing your wonderful images you captured of this amazing couple!

This was our ‘sliders’ room where we wrapped it with white drape and blue up lighting.

Here is what it looked like with the lights off.

Steve has this great amazing photobooth~ too fun.

LOVE this shot!

And I have to add this….this is my lovely couple that referred us ~ love you guys!!

This wedding is beyond words in many ways!!!  Elizabeth and Andrew came to us asking for help to bring their wedding to life and together in a very special location ~ an arboretum in Boykin, South Carolina.  This space was gorgeous and holds a special place in their hearts so we began working on the design and layout of the weekend.

We worked closely with, of course, the couple, but also Capital City Catering, Palmetto Party Rental and American Floral to get all aspects ‘in-line’ and unique to this couple.

The love and friendship that we got to be a part of during this wedding was so moving~ all the details in the wedding spoke directly of the couples relationship and future which made it so very meaningful and unique~

Due to all the images, I will talk about them as you go through the amazing images from Sara Parker and the details!!

So…as you can see from the title (that Darren came up with) she really did love his tractor 🙂  I just love this sign detail!

Andrew created their ‘directional sign’ from a reclaimed door out of a house on the property.

Now this is soooo great….the guys wore bow ties with cotton bowls on and then each wore a bout. of cotton and pheasant feathers!!

Love the bright colors ~ bouquest were wrapped with spanish moss….great touch!

This cute little flower girl basket custom with the ‘A+E’

Hand-made monograms hung on the entry columns to great guests.

Look at this gazebo!!  Andrew actually built this to marry his wife in….breath taking~ Americanl Floral did the perfect additions to add their colors and texture!

The fresh squeezed lemonade station by Capital City Catering, complete with mason jars!

Inside of the tent

So great….quail and cat-fish station.

Soooo beautiful was this collard and black-eyed pea station!!!  LOVE the bricks and mason jars!!

A great look at the smores station…

Smores station in action!!

Now this is so lovely….from the same house they used more reclaimed wood to make this one of a kind bar!!

Love this ‘hay bale coffee table’

Oh so yummy cake….

One of my favorite cake toppers, matches the hanging monograms!

We took a traditional silver candelabra and had them turn it in to this gorgeous creation!

Our hanging mason jars with candles

The couple had a silver signature tray for their guestbook!

Even more unique and fun….the couples favorite pickles as favors!

Another great image in the wheat field

Their send was wodnerful….and yes, on the tractor!

After meeting Lydia and Vince I could see what a fun-loving couple they were.  Coming back to the South from Hawaii, they wanted to bring some of the tropical feeling with them while still including some southern charm.  They picked the Seibel’s House as the location for their reception, a true southern gem in itself.

The color palette for this May wedding was bright pinks, oranges and greens.  Creating an atmosphere that showcased their unique style was essential to the couple.  From the beautiful flowers, to the multi-colored cake display with Hawaiian themes to each one, a young and fun feeling was brought to the event. Lydia and Vince wanted to make sure family and friends enjoyed the evening with dancing and games on the lawn.

To close out the night the couple literally rode off into the night on a pair of red bicycles that truly showed off their unique style and personalities.

From the moment I met Tori and her parents they made me feel like part of the family. And when I met her fiancé Jordan, he literally welcomed me with open arms too.  That’s just the kind of people they are, so it was no surprise their day reflected that strong sense of hospitality, friendship and family.

This was one of the prettiest back-yard weddings I’ve been part of, but then it was one of the prettiest back yards I’ve seen! Tori’s mom is an incredible gardener and she and Tori’s dad spent hours and hours making sure the setting would be perfect!

Entrance to the back yard. Guests walked from the nearby church and had cocktail hour in front of the house; then, once the bride and groom arrived, they entered the backyard for the full reception!

This yard had so many elements to work with. We put the vegetable sauté station in front of this fabulous birdhouse.

Check out these centerpieces! Every table had a silver tea set and tray filled with gorgeous blooms. Steve from The Ivy Porch did an amazing job on all the flowers.

One of my favorite elements was our chandelier over the cake. It’s always a challenge to decide how to make everything work with a floorplan that makes sense! We really wanted the cake in this corner, so then we had to figure out how to rig the chandelier. I was so happy with how it turned out.

Another wonderful feature of the yard was the koi pond. We put our ottomans out for seating and lanterns along the rim. It looked spectacular as the sun set.

One of Tori’s big challenges when she first came to us was trying to find a great color for the bridesmaids’ dresses that would go with the orange she knew she wanted. We played around with a bunch of swatches and she loved the idea of using silver/grey. Look how great it looks! It helped that she also picked stunning dresses!!

I love this picture captured by Sutherland Hill Farms:

Tori and her dad had a carriage take them to the church a couple of blocks away.

Capital City Catering did a wonderful job as always of customizing the menu for their couple. The menu included smoked salmon that was caught by Tori’s parents in Alaska and Capital City displayed with all the accompaniments and “Orange Tiger Mousse” complete with a purple paw piped on top.

The Clemson Tiger showed up at the reception and even took the couple for a ride in a neighbor’s golf cart.

The wonderful couple with their favorite wedding planner and caterer 🙂

This was such a fun wedding! Jessica was one of the happiest bride’s I’ve ever seen – and that’s saying a lot! She and Billy and their families are so full of love and kindness and wanted to make sure that not only was it a special day for them, but a wonderful event for their guests as well.

The reception was at 701 Whaley, and the coral and apple green colors were perfect. We anchored the large space with black linens, so the bright colors could really pop. And Jessica really focused her flower budget on some “wow” pieces. Combined with the gorgeous food from Capital City Catering, the whole event was striking and fun.

But what made the reception really special were all the personal touches: from the cookie buffet with homemade treats from family and friends, to the basket of flip flops for dancing, and the adorable kids table to cater to all the little ones, they made sure everyone was attended to and included as part of the day.

Thanks to Landon Jacobs for the photos.

Shot of the reception in full swing. You can see the paper lanterns we hung over the dancefloor and the fabulous hanging floral piece from Something Special.

The Cookie Buffet! We found the perfect color ribbon and paper to bring in the coral and apple green.

Jessica is a teacher and a devoted aunt and wanted to make sure there was a fun kids table with food just for the little ones. A friend made the adorable sign and we had a blast creating decorations for the table.

We topped the guest tables with coral and apple green fabric woven around cylinder candles.

For the cake table, we layered one of our favorite linens – an ivory rosette – over coral and hung wrought iron lanterns above.

Melanie here… adding a shot Jill did not 🙂 but it is great….we created a photo booth and Lacy and Jill jumped in for a quick fun shot!

Love this shot!

What an amazing design this wedding turned out to be!!!  When Kim, and mother Karen, came to me to help bring their graphic and interior design background ideas together…I was hoping I could help enhance what was already in their minds with our experience~ but I truly never knew how spectacular all the details were going to be…they blew me away with their unique touches and creativity…but what should I expect from designers :-)))

Kim and Karen we so committed to some very, very special touches that they specifically wanted to create~ once created, we helped them incorporate them in to the gorgeous space at the Historic 701 Whaley Building ~ this wedding has been labeled ‘urban chic’!

The most amazing detail was of course the 1000 cranes that the bride folded herself…the tradition states that  you fold 1,000 cranes as a wish for a long and prosperous marriage, so she did!  It really was one of the most amazing details I think I have had the pleasure of experiencing in a wedding!  Her dedication was so heart warming, and they turned out gorgeous as an addition to the event itself.

We had the most amazing group of vendors to work with!!!!  Most of these really amazing images were capture by Brantley and Richard, All Dressed Up Photography

The always wonderful, super scrumptious food and bar were provided by Capital City Catering.  Lee Anne and I worked on this event closely to bring it together…we are a pretty good team in the design department 🙂

And many thanks to the Palmetto Party Rental crew!!!

Printed items designed and created by the bride herself ~ below is the program that I just love!

Close up of the custom made pillow covers and bouquet.

This almost life size portrait was just “WOW” ~ the drift wood floor piece was specifically collected for the reception, other pieces were used around the space as well.

Love, love the finger print guest book!!

We created a fun, unique ‘lounge space’ within 701 Whaley.

If you look through, you can see the lighted bar in the back by Capital City Catering, with B.I.O. bookcase back bar and more wood structures on top.

NOW….here is your frist glimpse of the cranes over the cake…she used part of them over and on the cake!

….and the main attraction….the breath-taking crane chandelier over the perfect white dance floor!

Nothing like having a lovely hanging floral design over your food station…now is there!?

The loveliest shot of the cranes on the cake and its own crane chandelier~

Menus 🙂

The cigar bar outside…of course…huge hit.

The couple gave beautiful custom etched glasses to their guests!

And this was awesome….thier signature drink used dry ice that was so much fun!

Again…was too neat and fun~ thank you for letting us be a part of your truley amazing day!
