Jennifer and Corey were so passionate about their wedding planning~ I loved that they were both so very involved with all the details.  They knew they wanted to use a beautiful red and purple color palette so we helped them bring together the right mix to balance the space while bringing in elegant touches to give their guests a beautiful experience.

The couple married at Brookland Baptist Church in a romantic candlelight ceremony.  They then greeted guests at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center for an evening of dinner and dancing. The space was brought to life with rich red linens and lush silver chavari chairs.  Tables were topped with gorgeous two tiered floral designs and trumpet vases.

I love this shot…the smiles say it all.

The couple had a wishing tree for guests to leave well wishes.

Love the salad served in the stemless martini glass.

An over-all shot of the room.

This wedding was so special to all of us~ Rachel is one of the B.I.O. family so of course being able to help them make their day so special was an honor!  We truly felt like part of their families~ they welcomed us with open arms.

Rachel wanted her summer wedding to have bright, bold colors that popped in the beautiful 701 Whaley!  Ceremony was upstairs in the lovely Granby Room.  The emotion that came forward during the service moved us all ~ not a dry eye.

Rachel and Quinn selected great vendors that made a great team to bring all the details together ~ each detail was perfected and truly enjoyed by everyone.

Their lovely ceremony set up.

I love this moment…

Very sadly, Rachel’s brother is stationed overseas and could not make the wedding, but he was very close to her through the entire event~ Scott at American Floral made sure.

Room shot where you can see the vibrant blue draping and how it matched the bold floral design.

American Floral created both tall and low centerpieces that work great in this room!

Fun photos dressed the windows.

Great evening shot of our food display and florals.

Love the mint green cake ~ Carol of course did a beautiful job!!

In this you can see the light strands we did over the dance floor.

And I had to add this….I love her expression!!!  BEAUTIFUL!

This title is SO fitting for this couple and this day!!!  OH MY GOSH~ look at this gorgeous couple and their beautiful wedding!  It could not have been more perfect.

I absolutely loved working with them, their families and their friends ~ Brittany loved the  ‘billowy cloud’ feel in the flowers with touches of lace and elegance to tie the classic color palette together with texture.  Her stunning dress brought it all together with those amazing ruffles ~ a perfect match.

Their faith and love shown through in their looks between them, words spoken to each other and all the laughs they shared throughout the night.  During the planning process, Brittany ‘tweeted’ that I was her fairy godmother~ I don’t think I have ever had such a moment of glee :))

Some of these details have been favorites of mine!  I love the lace over lay for the cake table, so sweet and elegant!  I also absolutely love the ‘guestbook’ was a cook book from one of their favorite restaurants…and their gifts for bridal party were perfect, monogrammed jute bags and pocket knives…SO Southern!!!

Enjoy these amazing photos from Courtney Dox Photography~ they are stunning….

Sexy getaway!

This wedding was so bright, exciting and full of fun!  The couple really wanted to incorporate a summer {garden} feel ~ so the bright colors were a beautiful base to begin.

They brought in the beautiful designs of Debby West and Think Floral to add that garden touch~ the topiaries with Gerber daisy, hydrangea and lemons were absolutely perfect.  All the colors were so vibrant and exhilarating.

Now you know the B.I.O. girls, we LOVE custom details…so when we started to see these fun touches come to life, the more excited we got (not that we weren’t already 🙂  From the most beautiful linen cake table runner to the oh so funny cake toppers, lemons and limes in the coffee table legs to the  color coordinated popcorn!!!!  Fabulous.

It was lovely to be able to work with the talented Lucas Brown, Kickstand Studio again~ he captured the amazing images below!!!

All of our weddings are so unbelievably special, but it is such an amazing moment when we get calls from siblings of weddings we have done…it is just so lovely, and when I heard from Rebecca, I was beyond excited to work with this amazing family again!

Rebecca and James wanted a truly Southern wedding, so where else can you accomplish this other than a plantation home in Edisto, South Carolina.  They selected the breath-taking Prospect Hill Plantation for their wedding.

Ceremony took place out in front of the home centered on the most beautiful oak tree~ wrought iron lanterns hung from the tree and ‘Charleston’ benches made up the front row where their parents sat to watch them marry.

Cocktail hour took place on the point where guest enjoyed passed hor d’ourves, played lawn games of croquet, cornhole and ladder golf, and were served a signature cocktail called “Merry Mojito” since James’ favorite drink is the mojito!  Rebecca added the berries to it so it could be pink like their wedding colors~ the berries were used all through the event!

The couple wanted to build in beautiful natural elements to accent the pink and navy color palette for reception ~ nautral burlap dressed tables topped with elegant silver bowls overflowing with rich pink floral design.

We were so thrilled to have had this wedding featured on A Low Country Wedding http://alowcountrywed.com/rebecca-james-edisto-island-wedding/

Great custom cake topper, the sign for the kids was my favorite….and of course you don’t have a Southern wedding without a hammock.

Love the berries in the cute baskets!!!

Kaycie and Todd are so fun and happy, it was only natural that they picked a bright, cheerful color scheme for their spring wedding. Lots of hydrangeas in blue and coral plus details like the custom monogram and lantern centerpieces added just the right touch of the couple’s fresh style to their beautiful traditional southern venues.

The ceremony was at Rutledge Chapel on the USC horseshoe. The talented Kaycie loved their beautiful monogram, so she handpainted this canvas to mark the entrance.

The Lace House, where the reception was held is such a gorgeous venue. We placed tables on the balcony overlooking the dancefloor, and to continue with the monogram theme, we wrapped the ceneterpiece cube vases with ribbon topped with a printed monogram.

Parkland even created the monogram perfectly on the cake.

For downstairs tables, we used our black lanterns in the center of flower rings created by Bloom Service.

The bridesmaids’ bouquets spent the reception in vases on the gorgeous mantels in the Lace House.

After the ceremony, we brought the pew marker arrangements and hung on the doors throughout the house.

Love this view from the DJ tent once the reception was well underway.

One of my favorite favors ever…Adluh grits!

Gorgeous, gorgeous shot by the amazing Courtney Dox.

And the finally, the sparkler exit!

I can’t tell you how excited we get when we begin putting designs together with creative couples, vendors, and  elements!!!  Tyler and Will picked an oh so gorgeous venue to begin with for their wedding and reception~ but what was wonderful is that they truly utilized the venues natural beauty and ‘fed off of it’!!

The gray and {shades of} green color palette was so perfect out there with all the spanish moss and natural backdrops!!!  Tyler found some wonderful inspiration images that she loved for her design ~ so working closely with them and American Floral, a beautiful setting began to developed.

We got really inspired and B.I.O.  custom-built the arbor that Tyler and Will married in front of ~ American Floral built-in gorgeous natural accents of moss, vine and floral designs!!

No space went without a ‘touch’ of this events design as you can see from balcony, banister and doorways….

Many of our brides and grooms have stressful jobs and busy lives, but Betsy and Jerad kind of win. They are both fighter pilots in the US Air Force and decided to plan their wedding in just three – yes three – months.

During that short time, they had training exercises across the country and Jerad even got deployed overseas. We would have been thrilled to work with them no matter what, but their great attitudes and fun personalities made it an especially wonderful experience.

Here is the room from a couple of different angles. They really wanted bright, happy colors. Royal blue and kelly green are the ones that really spoke to Betsy, with some bright yellow mixed in. Luckily their venue – 300 Senate – made a great backdrop for that kind of color. We mixed in some lighter shades to keep everything from being overwhelming, and it turned out gorgeous!

I told them we would add in the bright colored hanging lanterns with the white until it “started getting obnoxious.” I think we ended up with just the right amount to pull the room together.

I love that Grant with Something Special Florist did three distinct types of centerpieces. Mixed with the different colored runners, each table had slightly different look.

For the huge outside deck, we pulled in more of the yellow, and used our simple black lanterns on the tall cocktail tables.

LOVED the jelly bean bar. Betsy and her mom carefully selected the yummiest flavors that fit the color scheme: lemon drop, margarita, and blueberry. Each guest could fill a little box with their favorites.

They really wanted a picture with the Gervais Street bridge in the background, so they took a few minutes to trek with Zach Hoffman though the woods so he could get this perfect shot.
