Kate, Tony and their families are the coolest people~ we became family once we began working on their wedding with them~ they were so much fun yet focused on creating a memorable event that guests would be talking about for years to come.

The dedication that went in to the planning warms our hearts every time we talk about it.  They were very specific about certain items but then let us run with some of our own thoughts that really made this beautiful Fall day emerge so beautifully.

The couple married at the elegant St. Joseph Catholic Church and picked the gorgeous Millstone at Adams Pond for their reception. Guests arrived to cocktails out front with the couple then enjoyed the yummy tastings in the house from Southern Way Catering.

Once everyone’s tummy was full, they all moved out back under the draped tent to enjoy the wonderful sounds of The Finesse Band!  They rocked all night long~

Take a look at the wonderful images captured by the talented All Dressed Up Photography to see how lovely this event turned out.

Cute koozies.

We draped the tent in toffee colored fabric and covered tables in rich navy.

Rust colored chandeliers matched perfect!

The cake table was gorgeous with the ivory rosette linen.

Tony’s sword!!!

…and the traditional ‘swat’ from the sword….I just love BOTH of their faces 🙂

Just gorgeous~

This is a hard post for me, not in a bad way, but in a way that I just love this couple, this family, this wedding and all the vendors that helped bring it together in to one absolutely beautiful and breath-taking event, I could talk forever.

Ali and Ryan are one of the most loving, giving, understanding and relaxed couples I have ever met.  When we began planning with them, we knew it was an instant  connection and jumped in with both feet.  The ideas that they brought paired with our resources and experience created an event that was beyond gorgeous and memorable ~ so much that it got featured on the amazing blog ‘Southern Aisle  http://www.southernaisle.com/2012/05/lace-house-love.html?spref=fb

Don’t over look the details in each photo~ there are so many from the floral chandelier to the unique table numbers!

The photos below will tell the story, I mean I could talk about this forever but I will let Brantley’s beautiful images show you 🙂

This moment is a favorite of mine.

Guests were treated to prelines as a treat!

Look at the show stoping cake!

So my favorite photo in here…you see the floral chandelier hanging, the custom gobo and our beautiful couple right in the center!

Great night shot!

They really do crack me up!!!

This wedding was so special to all of us~ Rachel is one of the B.I.O. family so of course being able to help them make their day so special was an honor!  We truly felt like part of their families~ they welcomed us with open arms.

Rachel wanted her summer wedding to have bright, bold colors that popped in the beautiful 701 Whaley!  Ceremony was upstairs in the lovely Granby Room.  The emotion that came forward during the service moved us all ~ not a dry eye.

Rachel and Quinn selected great vendors that made a great team to bring all the details together ~ each detail was perfected and truly enjoyed by everyone.

Their lovely ceremony set up.

I love this moment…

Very sadly, Rachel’s brother is stationed overseas and could not make the wedding, but he was very close to her through the entire event~ Scott at American Floral made sure.

Room shot where you can see the vibrant blue draping and how it matched the bold floral design.

American Floral created both tall and low centerpieces that work great in this room!

Fun photos dressed the windows.

Great evening shot of our food display and florals.

Love the mint green cake ~ Carol of course did a beautiful job!!

In this you can see the light strands we did over the dance floor.

And I had to add this….I love her expression!!!  BEAUTIFUL!

Oh my gosh ~ well you all know how connected we get to our couples after working together during the planning process, but when you start out working on a wedding of a dear friend ~ man can you just get carried away (sort of)!

BIO planner, Jill Areheart came to me stating that a very dear friend of hers was getting married and she wanted us to work together on helping Natasha and Andrew bring their dream to life!!  I was so honored that Jill asked me to work with her on this and the excitement we all got when we met even the first time blew us away!

Natasha and Andrew, along with their families had really beautiful, grand ideas~ when we joined forces, it truly took on a life of its own and I know I look at these images once a week!

This wedding was so much fun ~ one funny moment I have to touch on is that father of the bride is a KISS fan and made sure that we had a visit from a ‘KISS’ member to entertain us…it was so awesome!

Who ever said that an ‘all white wedding’ could not pack some ‘WOW’ needs to take a look here and see its elegance and beauty!

Venue ~ Thornblade Country Club

Look at this show stopping aisle and alter!

Makes me cry each time I look at it….

The floral design was so beautiful throughout the club~ carrying the look of elegance everywhere you went.

We transformed the library with drape and crystals to a fun martini bar.

Over all shot of the ballroom~ beautiful.

Fun dancing shoes!

Love the fun send off we did ~

What an amazing design this wedding turned out to be!!!  When Kim, and mother Karen, came to me to help bring their graphic and interior design background ideas together…I was hoping I could help enhance what was already in their minds with our experience~ but I truly never knew how spectacular all the details were going to be…they blew me away with their unique touches and creativity…but what should I expect from designers :-)))

Kim and Karen we so committed to some very, very special touches that they specifically wanted to create~ once created, we helped them incorporate them in to the gorgeous space at the Historic 701 Whaley Building ~ this wedding has been labeled ‘urban chic’!

The most amazing detail was of course the 1000 cranes that the bride folded herself…the tradition states that  you fold 1,000 cranes as a wish for a long and prosperous marriage, so she did!  It really was one of the most amazing details I think I have had the pleasure of experiencing in a wedding!  Her dedication was so heart warming, and they turned out gorgeous as an addition to the event itself.

We had the most amazing group of vendors to work with!!!!  Most of these really amazing images were capture by Brantley and Richard, All Dressed Up Photography

The always wonderful, super scrumptious food and bar were provided by Capital City Catering.  Lee Anne and I worked on this event closely to bring it together…we are a pretty good team in the design department 🙂

And many thanks to the Palmetto Party Rental crew!!!

Printed items designed and created by the bride herself ~ below is the program that I just love!

Close up of the custom made pillow covers and bouquet.

This almost life size portrait was just “WOW” ~ the drift wood floor piece was specifically collected for the reception, other pieces were used around the space as well.

Love, love the finger print guest book!!

We created a fun, unique ‘lounge space’ within 701 Whaley.

If you look through, you can see the lighted bar in the back by Capital City Catering, with B.I.O. bookcase back bar and more wood structures on top.

NOW….here is your frist glimpse of the cranes over the cake…she used part of them over and on the cake!

….and the main attraction….the breath-taking crane chandelier over the perfect white dance floor!

Nothing like having a lovely hanging floral design over your food station…now is there!?

The loveliest shot of the cranes on the cake and its own crane chandelier~

Menus 🙂

The cigar bar outside…of course…huge hit.

The couple gave beautiful custom etched glasses to their guests!

And this was awesome….thier signature drink used dry ice that was so much fun!

Again…was too neat and fun~ thank you for letting us be a part of your truley amazing day!

This was the performance of a lifetime for this couple…and they definitely brought the house down with their amazing ‘set design’ and cast of characters :-)…okay, I will stop with the ‘theater’ references but it was sooo neat that they incorporated their love for theater!

We worked with amazing talent again ~ it makes the event so complete and perfect, we know that it is going to be everything and more.  I have to first thank Brantley and Richard Freeman, All Dressed Up Photography ~ they once again have captured this most important day impeccably.   Thank you for sharing your amazing images!!!!  The floral design was created by American Floral, it added the most perfect pop of color and texture.  The yummy, yummy food was by Applause Catering and the beautiful cake is by Parties to Go ~ sweet and lovely as always 🙂

Kara and Matt selected the Historic 701 Whaley building as their backdrop for their ceremony and reception!  We set up one space for ceremony that was so unique~ we had a meandering aisle that was ‘topped’ with lovely lanterns.  Then over the couple, we created a fun arch of lanterns to ‘frame’ them~ the couple created a fabulous program in the form of a playbill!!!

(All Dressed Up Photography)

Lovely ceremony shot….(All Dressed Up Photography)

This is a candid shot from the back during the ceremony~

The reception was in the Grand Hall ~ we added romantic cafe lights over the dance floor.

Beautiful food and room image (All Dressed Up Photography)

The lounge area ~ we loved using our unique aqua vases for the glass coffee table!  (All Dressed Up Photography)

Now this was sooo neat~ for their guest book, the had guests write their messages on a card and pick out their own fabric square, then the mother of the bride transferred the messages to the squares and sewed them together to create a memorable quilt for the couple to enjoy forever!!! (All Dressed Up Photography)

AHHHH ~ CANDY! (All Dressed Up Photography)

I LOVE how they are so in to each other 🙂 and then you can see Kara’s parents in the background~ (All Dressed Up Photography)

All Dressed Up Photography!

I had to toss this in, right before ceremony when we were all sitting on ‘go’ 🙂 Love my girls!!!!

Ashley, Catherine, me, Lacy and Rachel

We always encourage our couples to let their personalities come out in their weddings ~ this is what family and friends really love to see, no matter how small the detail!

Lisa and Shane wanted a fun, garden wedding and that is exactly what they had…starting with the beautiful Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Garden as their wedding ‘back drop’.  The color palette complimented the garden beautifully ~ then the floral design by Something Special Florist really brought it all together with wrought iron candles stands…the sunset, candle lighted ceremony was so romantic.

They carried the garden inside and designed the tables with gorgeous floral accented bird cages!  Guests danced the night away to PartyTime DJ ~ and man did they dance 🙂

All Dressed Up Photography captured these absolutely beautiful images below ~ it was so wonderful to work with Brantley and Richard again~ we always have the best time and I know the images will be spectacular!

Here is the ceremony ~unity candle shot.

Lisa was escorted down the aisle by her lovely mother~

A great, great shot of the table center pieces and the amazing food dispaly piece in the background.

Their ‘sweet’ cake by Parkland Cakes~ and of course the love birds.

The couple had so many family wedding photos- the table was filled their family tree in weddings!!

We created the s’mores station on the patio once the sun set!

We hung the programs from each  chair….

And this is one of my favorite detaisl….the fishing lure boutonnire!!!!

We had the most wonderful opportunity recently to help create a ‘super fun’ and exciting ‘Business After Hours’ event, which was hosted and catered by Capital City Catering.  LeeAnne and Jonathan, owner’s of Capital City Catering and members of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce hosted the chamber event a few months back (I know, I am WAY behind) ~ they really wanted to showcase their creativity with both food and design…their ‘out-side the box thinking’!  We have all worked together on many events so I was really, really honored that they asked me to come work with them on really giving this event some WOW and bring in our background to compliment their amazing work!

This whole design is a GREAT example of how the design process works with all your vendors at times, we feed off each other, take what someone may mention and run with it.  All of this was all of us working together…knowing what they wanted to highlight and knowing what we could create!

The event took place in the Darla Moore School of Business ~ we went in to this large open space and totally transformed it….photos tell the story, but remember, there are some candids in here as well as lovely shots from All Dressed Up Photography!!  The lovely floral additions are from Something Special Florist. Rentals by Plametto Party Rental!!

This is of course, LeeAnne and Jonathan before we got started that evening behind them is the lovely creation of the Lo Mein Station.

So…here we go….this is the before shot of where the Lo Mein Station went~

And this is how it turned out 🙂  We had the best time creating this…so neat, fun and AMAZING if I may say!

Here is the close up of their sushi display…and in the background you can see the ‘Sliders Station’

Okay- next stop, the bar area….before

…and after.  This is Capital City Caterings signature lighted bar (it is available for rental through them).  The back bar is a BIO item.

Another angle…

So- look carefully, this is two angles of the room (opposite ends) and the last photo is a panoramic of the room just before we got done with set up-

I know, odd shot but you can begin to see the changes and additions…

Before shot of the milk and cookies station….

After shot…now THIS was a milk and cookies station- AWESOME!

Nice professional shot of it-again….words can not tell you how amazing this turned out.

Detail shot of the ‘Artist Slider Station’ – we really took this theme to heart 🙂

more details of the ‘Artist Slider Station’

…and more – we loved the touches we added in with the paints, cans, brushes and canvas overlays…also don’t over look the ‘frame  place mats’.

And finally, one of my favorites, the smores station!  Way, way too much fun!  This is the first idea I ran with when we began and it really pleased me with how it turned out.

The details.
