Wow, wow, wow…..this entire wedding weekend was so spectacular!!!  Lindsay and Jack came to us from Tennessee but had VERY strong ‘roots’ here in South Carolina.  Jack’s family home is an amazing private plantation in Camden, SC.  Being a true Southern girl and having grown up studying and enjoying South Carolina’s rich history in plantations ~ I was SO excited  when they told me they were to marry at the groom’s private family home, Mulberry Plantation.

We began the wedding weekend with a fun and ‘masculine’ 🙂 rehearsal dinner at the Robert Mills Courthouse in Camden.  This historic location was a perfect backdrop for the evening’s event.  Jack requested that the evening be elegant but ‘masculine’  with a touch of ‘chrome’ {he said} so as you can see the floral design was geared toward his request!!!  Grant at Something Special Florist found the perfect vessels to incorporate and pulled in the wedding colors beautifully.

Southern Way Catering was the belle of the ball this weekend (besides the GORGEOUS bride)!!!!  Jesse and his staff truly went above and beyond more than you can imagine~they started the weekend with a beautiful plated dinner that began with the most amazing cheese and chocolate plate and moved to a mouth-watering pork tenderloin dinner.  Guests enjoyed a delicious chocolate groom’s cake created by Slice of the South. Southern Way catered the wedding reception Saturday with an abundant display of heavy hors d’oeuvres that were never-ending and then they finished off the weekend on Sunday with the most amazing brunch!!!

The ceremony took place out in front of the plantation home, then guest joined the couple on the home’s back lawn under the massive old oak trees.  The day could not have been more perfect and beautiful~ we designed the space with a beautiful clear tent from Palmetto Party Rental so as to not lose that gorgeous view. Palmetto Party Rental handled all rentals for the weekend.

Guests were entertained by the Ross Holmes Band, they truly danced under the stars that evening, they ‘lounged’ out by the old barn and sat on old benches under the trees huge branches.  Floral design for the reception was created by Woolbrights Florist.

The entire weekend was captured by Jay Adkins, photographer and friend of the couple from Tennessee.  He was so lovely to share a few images in the post here.

Inside the Robert Mills Courthouse- we placed up lights around the room for a little more dramatic effect.

This shows you a great shot of the arrangement Grant made and our unique head table!!!

So these are some of my favorite photos- as the sun began to set, we got images of the tent under the oak!

On Sunday, we had the brunch at the Steeplechase Museum in Camden- you know I was so excited!  You can see the horses out  training.
