Actually, home is more than just where the ‘heart and wedding’ were this weekend it was the center of the universe!!!  We had the most amazing week and weekend getting ready for Elizabeth’s and Phil’s wedding….I truly became one of the family while working on site at the bride’s parent’s home in beautiful Florence, SC.  Penny, Ricky and Elizabeth truly opened their home to me during the process!

They wanted to make sure that this ceremony and reception was the event of a lifetime and it surely turned out to be that!  We began planning many months ago to get a  the big and small details together.  When you have an event that you host at home, we must create from the ground up….literally.

They picked a gorgeous color palette for this Spring wedding ~ we helped them design a space that would WOW every last one of their 500 guests in attendance.

We began set up on Tuesday of last week getting the tents up and ready to accept all those beautiful details!  We worked through the week draping all the fabric, creating the custom curtains, pulling it all together ~ when Saturday morning arrived, we were beyond excited to see this event come to life.  The weather was SO amazing, a perfect South Carolina Spring day.

Elizabeth was a vision of loveliness – she is an exquisite woman and Phil is so lucky 🙂 (he was very handsome as well !!)  The couple married at their home church just minutes from the bride’s home.  This church was so amazing – so much charm.  It was a touching ceremony but one of the sweetest moments for me was just before Elizabeth was escorted down the aisle, I am the bottom of her dress, straightening things and she looks at me, so heartfelt…and says ‘Thank you so much’ with the most beautiful big smile!  I had to fight tears!

After the ceremony, the fabulous party began!  As guests arrived, they were greeted with a yummy signature drink and its lovely  display.  It was topped with a ‘signature’ Palmetto tree ice sculpture by Ice Sensations.  Guests signed their custom designed photo book created by All Dressed Up Photography.  They then made their way in to the main tent where they were entertained the wonderful sounds of the very talented Finesse Band!  The truly ROCKED!!!

Food was set in yet another tent – we were so thrilled to work with Jack Brantly, Aberdeen Catering again!  As always – the food was excellent!  The presentation was flawless and the staff was fantastic!  The beautiful florals were created by David Starks ~ the colors were perfect and so elegant.

The day was all captured by the wonderfully talented All Dressed Up Photography.  Brantley has been so kind to share a few images with me for the blog…I can not wait to see the rest of them 🙂  This wedding was just amazing and unreal!
