We had the most wonderful time this weekend working with Holly, Jeremy, their family and friends.

I began working with them almost exactly one year ago – they came to me with a vision and we went to work.  The first item was to get them the perfect venue- which can be more difficult than you think sometimes.  We searched around to all the available venues that fit their vision and found a location and got it ‘nailed down’, however sometimes things don’t always go as ‘planned’.

We were informed a little later that the venue had a conflict and sadly we were searching again.  But here is were our ‘blessing in disguise’ came about…

In the time from when we began working together and the time we had to relocate their reception, I had been very lucky to make the acquaintance of Richard Burts and his amazing new “old” venue Historic 701 Whaley.  I fell in love with this location from the moment I set foot in it.  The building has so much character – it  really speaks to you when you step inside.

I knew this space would work for the Holly and Jeremy so we immediately went and visited- they were thrilled and were so amazed that this little turn of events had led them to this gorgeous venue and a fabulous new direction- it truly was meant to be!!!  Little did we realize that this wedding reception would be the very first at Historic 701 Whaley – cocktailhour was held upstairs next to the gallery so guests could view the current show then dinner and dancing were in the large main room downstairs.

Well- there is even more to this story….when we lost the original reception location- we were potentially losing the catering as well.  This was upsetting- they had fallen in love with the very unique and incredible menu that had been put together by the Chef- fortunately, we were able to negotiate using that chef for the event after all so they could keep the wonderful menu.  Signature Catering  catered the event and I have to say- went above and beyond.  Words can not express how pleased we all were with the entire experience- the food was just AMAZING and the service was impeccable!!!!

We had the most wonderful time Saturday- everything was just perfect!!!

Flowers were created by the very talented Think Floral (Debby West).

DJ services by Partytime DJ (Dave Gilbert) – Dave also took some photos for me to use, thank you!

All Dressed Up Photography came in and took some of the set up shots for us as well- thank you so much!

We got a shot of Holly and Jeremy taking a sneak peak of the room before going upstairs to enjoy the cocktail hour.

Holly and Jeremy’s first dance- they were awesome!
