Good Monday everyone- I hope that you all had a great weekend- even with the crazy rain we had Friday night, Saturday was just lovely for the wedding we did this weekend!!!

Darren and I were so excited about this event- we have been working with Kate and Marc since May of last year and we were thrilled to see it all come together.  We have become good friends with them so it was very meaningful to see them marry this weekend.

Their wedding was at the beautiful St. Mary’s Catholic Church in downtown Charleston with their reception at the amazing Francis Marion Hotel on the corner of King Street and Calhoun, right across from Marion Square.

Even though the rain tried to get us down Friday night, when Saturday morning came along- things were perfect.  I went to see Kate and there was NOTHING in the world to dampen her spirits, she was about to marry the man of her dreams- she was beaming!!!  I never saw the smile leave her face.

Kate was a vision on loveliness.  She was relaxed, calm and totally collected.  She and her bridesmaids (who were awesome) gave me the giggles that stuck with me all day- that is the funniest group of women.  They had the big picture nailed down all day and it was amazing. Juliet Jones did all the ladies hair and Leslie Moore did makeup – only the best 🙂

At the church, I have the most amazing privilege to be the very last person to speak to Kate before she walks down the aisle- we shared a few jokes, especially to keep dad from tearing up, but we shared that moment of anticipation- she gave me that wonderful big smile and took a deep breath, I asked if she was ready…nothing could stop her.

When Kate and Marc arrived at the Francis Marion- they both were all smiles and just beyond happy.

The reception began with a cocktail hour in the lobby then everyone moved to the Colonial Ballroom for an elegant sit down dinner- after eating the yummy red velvet cake, they danced the night away!

Here are very candid photos- Karyn Iserman was the photographer-  I can not wait to see her pictures!!!

Lotus Flower did the flowers, Kevin Graham did videography.

This is the entry table in the lobby – they used a Charleston coffee table book as their guest book, they surrounded it with family wedding photos.

The seating cards were on the other side of the entry table, they had the guest’s name along with their table ‘name’ which was street names in downtown Charleston.  Each card had the palmetto tree watermark

Here is a day time shot of the full set up- they picked the lovely color palette- taupe and burgundy lamour- it was gorgous, the photo does not do it justice.  We have three different centerpieces as well.

The menu cards with one of the centerpieces-

This is the only shot Darren got of Kate and I – I am sad we did not get another one.  She had just danced with her father and it was very emotional – I took her a tissue- she was so cute!  You can see her sweetheart table and her bouquet.

I love this- Kate and Marc having a blast on the dance floor with their guests!

And one last shot at night –
