I am extremely fortunate to have the most wonderful group of friends!  They are truly my heart, my support and my family!  I could not ask for more caring and loving friends –

We are all very different, leading different lives daily, yet we seem to have a connection that keeps us very close.  We promise each other to take the time get together and just have FUN.  Whether it be going to the release of fabulous movie ‘Sex and the City ‘ or on this occasion – attending that good old fashion tea party.

We may not all actually be from the ‘Deep South’, however, we all were raised with much etiquette and tradition.  One lovely gal of the group decided it was time for a ‘Tea Party’ since we do so many other types of events during the year.  Sharolyn Perry, better known as Shabby Chic Shar, was the most gracious hostess for this event.  As Victoria stated,  Shar is one of those ladies that somehow manages to find the coolest things at the best prices in the strangest places.  Shar had everything that was needed, wanted and appropriate for this tea, right down to the honey spoons.

Our invitation was printed by Shar on sweet vintage Holly Hobby stationary 🙂  It was precious.  She had gorgeous sterling pieces that dressed the table,  tea sandwiches,  individual honey ‘pots’, scones, and even her beautiful vintage apron.  Each of us brought another item to add to the event-

We all came dressed in our ‘Sunday best’, including our hats and gloves – as we enjoyed our tea, we shared fabulous conversation, covering the stories of our youth, reality of our now, and glorious future of our friendship as old ladies….having tea!

Shar’s lovely table- the peonies we fashioned by Leslie Wacker, owner of Southern Stems.

Just a shot of my tea cup with our ‘flowering tea’ and honey spoon 🙂
