Update:  Here is the link to the slide show from Clark Berry- this is amazing!!

I don’t even know where to begin with this gorgeous wedding this weekend…

I began working with Monika and John over a year ago when they came to me with their idea of a ‘star lit dance’ – they brought me beautiful thoughts and ideas and put our company to the test to make it come alive.

The love and faith this couple shared and showed me was beyond amazing.  Both Monika and John are professors, which demands so much of their time to begin with.  On top of that, they have had to spend their last few months of engagement and planning apart when John began a new job across the country.

The couple wanted a very romantic wedding, with amazing elegance and an incredible WOW factor.  They decided to have their ceremony and reception at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center- this venue was large enough to accommodate their 200+ guest list for a beautiful sit down dinner with dancing to follow.  With yards and yards of fabric, specialty lighting (by Aspire 4 More), rich chair covers, and hundreds of candles…we created a memorable night……

We began set up at the CCC on Thursday- floor plan was set and the tall trusses were put into place for the yards of fabric to be hung.  We then began getting the ceremony and reception pulled together.  We brought in a team of 8 to work this event. I have placed some images below so you can see a little of what it looked like- these are CANDID photos we took, not professional!!!

Clark Berry was the photographer for the evening, I can not wait to see the photos!!!

Think Floral did the bouquets, corsages, and white branch centerpieces.

By Invitation Only… created the crystal branch pieces and candle centerpieces.

Above is the ceremony area – chairs were set on a slight arc which allow for a lovely look and better view for all guests.  You can see the fabric draped in the background where guest entered the room and a few stars that were cast up on the fabric with a soft blue light.  These chair sashes have not been straightened when this photo was taken 🙂 but they were before the ceremony.

This photo is shot down the aisle – it does not do it justice – the petals were a champagne color and the crystal branches sparkled when the spot light hit them!!  Once the candles were lit around the columns, it all came to life…

I was able to snap one shot of Monika and John just as they walked up on the stage to begin the ceremony- it was a tearful moment!

This is our before shot of the reception area…

And our after- this is how it all appeared when guests were invited in after a social hour – you can see the sweetheart table and cake were both on risers in the background and the cake was spot lit.

Close up of the sweetheart table and cake.

Cake was by Parkland Cakes

Just a shot of the candle set up on one of the tables.

We had the best time working with Monika and John and all the vendors they selected.  The evening was magical and very special- lots of tears, tons of smiles and a beautiful marriage in the making…best wishes Monika and John!
