Many people think that you only need a planner if you are having a monster size wedding- well that is not the case!  We are here to make the planning process less stressful and bring design help to bring the event to its full potential.

Candy and Will came to me several months before their wedding- they had moved their date and things got busy quickly so they really needed some help.  I had coordinated a friend of theirs wedding several years ago and she was so lovely to refer us!  The wedding was to be held at their private home on Lake Murray surrounded by close friends and family.

We had a lovely time- the wedding was in the quaint chapel at Gateway Baptist Church in Ballentine and the reception was a their home.

Cake was by the talented Parkland Cakes, DJ services by Partytime DJ, photography by Bob Lancaster, Catering by Tronco’s.  Groom’s cake by Publix.

This wedding was so charming and lovely-  this couple definitely brought both of their personalities when planning!!!  The setting was the gorgeous Honeysuckle Acres Bed and Breakfast- it was the most perfect backdrop for this garden event.  The B&B is just a short distance from Columbia, in Winnsboro.  The bride and her ladies stayed the night before the wedding having the whole house to themselves!  So relaxing and fun…

The weather was perfect- cool morning gave way to a bright sunny day then softened into a romantic sunset for the 5:30pm ceremony.  The details we sweet and personal- programs were created by the bride, they selected a favor that was perfect, an herb packet and a ’green’ pot for planting all packaged in a lovely box with a personalized label.  The groom’s sister created the perfect groom’s cake, TEXAS, celebrating their home!!

The soft, elegant flowers were created by floral designer Leslie Wacker,  Southern Stems.  Music was provided by Partytime DJ’s ( Tony Signarino). The photography was by Clark Berry Photography, here is the link to the slide show from them (as always, just perfect!)

It is now official – By Invitation Only…Event Planning & Design has a new home.  We have moved in to our new home at the gorgeous Historic 701 Whaley Building.  We love the new space, it is fabulous!!  We share the beautiful Gallery 104 with the ultra talented All Dressed Up Photography, owner Brantley Freeman.

She has dressed the walls with amazing examples of her work- we have created such an inviting space to meet and plan your weddings and events…let the fun begin.

We had a drop in Tuesday evening for our friends, families and fellow wedding vendors.  Capital City Catering brought their gorgeous ‘Palmetto Fruit Tree’, Asian spoons, Key Lime tarts and Raspberry treats-SO YUM.  Applause Catering created my favorite cucumber and tomato sandwiches and their famous pimento cheese dip with pita chips- THANK YOU does not express my gratitude for their kindness and generosity for making their wonderful items!!!

Thank you so much to my wonderful mother- she never does anything half way and I owe my attention to detail and dedication to my work to her!  She inspires me daily. I want to thank my lovely Aunt Ruth- she made a family tradition – her guarded secret recipe of ’Southern Comfort Punch’ and as always, it was a smashing hit! Thank you to my family for all of their support, encouragement and love- with out them I would never have achieved success.  Jill- thank you so much for always helping and being dedicated to our company!

And most important- thank you to my most amazing husband, Darren.  He has been by my side each day from the very beginning of this adventure.  My life would not be complete without him and his encouraging words and support. He motivates me when I need it and keeps me grounded when I am sky high! He is my rock, my other half…thank you for being my everything!
