I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight!!!!
Well-a long time ago, Leslie made a wish one night, and after many months and hurdles, now she has been blessed…she and Pete are expecting!!!
For a little tiny bit of history – this group of girls met through a very fun web site, theknot.com! We were all planning our very own weddings and chatting on the local message boards. Little did we realize that this search for comfort with other brides stressing over the details would turn into an everlasting friendship and family!! Leslie and I have the opportunity to work together a bunch, she is owner and designer of Southern Stems so not only do we have this friendship, but we get to have loads of fun doing weddings.
Leslie and Pete have been through a lot on their journey to this point so we all were beyond thrilled when she shared the news with us- many tears were shed, lots of giggles and then we began to plan, come on, I am an event planner….
On our annual beach trip this year of the girls, we decided to throw a little ’suprise’ baby show – and I have to say, we pulled it off pretty good!!
To set the tone- Leslie, well all of us, are HUGE Tiffany and Co. fans, I mean huge- her wedding colors were Tiffany blue and white- so as you can see, we had to follow suite.
Please keep in mind, we wanted a relaxing, girls have fun shower, so no, we are not dressed up and eating tea sandwiches, we are resting at the beach and have a surprise baby show all at the same time!
Of course we had to have a couple of games- it is a shower!!! The girls hard at work on nursery rhymes
The cute gifts and of course, the perfect cake with the ‘Tiffany rattle’ on top- this was made by the most wonderful lady at Lady Finger Confections in Charleston!!!!
We all unanimously decided that the gift to give for such the occasion was of course the real “Tiffany and Co.” silver baby rattle- yep, we made her cry!!!
Here we all are for our dinner out at Blossom’s – we had the best time!
Hello -
Well- today is going to be a busy day, I have all sorts of stuff to do but I wanted to get some photos of a gorgeous wedding we actually did back in December! At the time, we were unable to get any images ourselves, and then Brad (High Contrast Studios) and I kept missing each other to exchange these great images. FINALLY, we got with it and now I have a few to share.
This couple were just to great for words- Alison and Alex got married at Adams Pond right around Christmas so thier idea of many Christmas trees throughout was a lovely starting point. We helped them bring their design to life- we placed about 15 trees all around with white light, then place gorgeous poinsettias all around the base for texture and color.
Debby West, Think Floral, created the bouquets, bouts., corsages, and center pieces. The couple got married under the tent on the back patio, then we changed it all over to a fun dance floor and guest seating- it worked out perfectly!
The ceremony setting was so romantic – the centerpieces were lush and extravagant- just what they wanted…
Alison and Alex just after their cake cutting and toast – such a lovely couple!!!
Their yummy, beautiful cake by Parties to Go!!!

This is a natural light shot down the aisle before the ceremony- you can see the trees, poinsettias and candles brought a beautiful glow- it was breathtaking! The aisle was set on an angle that made it so unique.
And here it is just before the processional began!!!

the bride requested- with just a little more green!)
Sushi display-
And the neatest thing was the ‘favor tree’- the couple gave a monogrammed Christmas ornament as a favor and they were all on the tree located in the entry- it was GREAT!!!
Not with Rebecca and Patrick! I was very lucky to be able to attend Rebecca and Patrick’s engagement photo session this past Sunday. The are just too much fun for words, honestly – I can not wait until their wedding in September- we are going to ROCK Columbia! The emotion and excitement between the two of them is almost tangible!!!!
They picked one of the most amazing photographers I have ever had the pleasure of working with- Ruth Rackley. Her work is beyond words and her personality is even better – she is a fireball and is able to capture what is going on between these two- you can just see it come to life.
Check back in September catch a few images for this incredible event they are planning- WOW is all I can say!
Okay- I just have to share some of the other fun we get to have being in the business!!! This past weekend, my lovely little niece turned 4 (going on 24) and her birthday party was just fabulous. She wanted a mermaid themed party that was held out at Pine Island on Lake Murray.
This party had everything from palm trees to buried treasure…that is correct, we sent the kids on a treasure hunt with maps and all! We tons of great food, lots of giggles, and swam until the sun went down- all in all, it was WONDERFUL! My sassy little niece, who everyone says is ‘just like her Aunt LeLe’ had a blast -
The cake was created by Vintage Bakery!
