Literally……  :-)

We had the best time with this gorgeous, vibrant event!!!!!  Cammie and I have been working together for a long time and it was so wonderful to see it all come together- I tell ya…there was NO detail left out, right down to the custom orange ties for the men and adorable orange and pink custom flip flops for the ladies!!!

Cammie’s ideas were fun, exciting, and out of this world – both Cammie and Ross are Clemson grads so you can see the fun of the title :-)   and as you will see later, they brought their Alma mater to life as a special treat in their most wonderful wedding.

The colors were the most perfect colors for an early summer wedding, bright and lively- and when it was placed the their rustic, historical venue of Larkin’s on the River, the Wyche Pavilion- it was spectacular…

We took TONS of photos but I will try to scale it down a little- this was a large event with lots of set up and little details- Laura and Chris Catto came in to help with this one – Laura is our newest planner that we have in the Charlotte area!

Please remember, these are candid photos!!!  Enjoy-

The couple had their engagement photo taken at Death Valley- home of the Clemson Tigers- this was used as a signature guest book!

All doors leading into the church had the amazing double wreaths hung- these were later used around the hurricanes at the reception- I always suggest duel use of flowers if you can!!

The custom flip flops!!!

Here it is…all set up and ready for guest to arrive!  It was amazing!!!

Closer shot of the cake-

The cake table was quite the centerpiece- the bride requested a custom made skirt for the cake table, so we found her what she wanted and it turned out phenomenal!!!!

The couple wanted to show a slide show all evening so BIO brought along our AV equipment to give them what they were looking for.

This was the large arrangement that graced the main food table- flowers were by Barrett’s in Greenville.

Personalized napkins…

They arrived in this lovely horse drawn carriage!

One of the few shots we got to get of the couple- but we were lucky- this was their first dance together!

A shot from the end of the pavilion across the dance floor…

Okay- so we had to do it!  We just had to grab a shot with the Clemson Tiger’s mascot just before he made his entrance- he had the best time with the couple and mingling through the crowd, playing with everyone!!!  As you can see, he had us laughing!

As a wonderful summer treat, the couple had an Ice Cream Sunday bar- it was PERFECT!

This is the best attempt at a shot when the sun went down!

And of course…the sparkler send off!!!

I know I am behind, I am sort of out of sorts right now but we are getting back to it!  Jill and her team were so fabulous to help make this event turn out just lovely and see another beautiful, happy couple off to married life…

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Brittany and Derrick on their June wedding in Columbia. This whole day was so full of love and special touches…it was wonderful to be part of it.  The ceremony site itself—Crescent Hill Baptist Church—was where the bride’s paternal grandparents and parents were both married. And from the time the rehearsal started through to the sendoff after the reception, there was just this amazing sense of happiness from both family and friends and from the couple themselves.

When we started working with Brittany, she already had a good idea of what she wanted for the day. She chose a palette of peach and pale blue – colors that perfectly complemented the décor of the reception venue at Forest Lake Golf Club. We were able to help her select linens in the exact shades and materials – a mixture of matte and satin – to highlight the soft colors. The space was a perfect backdrop for this lovely couple as they danced the night away with friends and family.

Here are some quick snapshots we amateurs took. I’m looking forward to seeing the professional photos from Travis Bell.

This post was created by Jill Areheart, one of our planners here at BIO- I hope you enjoy!  She and Angela did an amazing job – I am so proud :-)

Southern elegance was evident in every detail of Kendall and Franklin’s beautiful wedding reception this past weekend.

The couple chose the Millstone at Adams Pond – a 1700-era estate – as the backdrop for their evening. Guests arrived at twilight – a perfect time to appreciate this tranquel setting. Southern Valet provided the parking service so guests could immediately step onto the porch looking out over a picturesque pond and stream.

The formal rooms inside were highlighted with lots of candles, silver, ivory linens and gorgeous flower arrangements by American Floral. One special highlight was the elegant magnolia-topped cake from Parkland Cakes. We surrounded it with dozens of flickering votives for a truly magical focal point.

We also filled the huge fireplace with lighted candles. On the mantel, the couple’s engagement photo was flanked by two flower arrangements in crystal vases.

The delicious food was provided and beautifully presented on silver and crystal by The Southern Way catering.

Guests made their way through the house to a porch overlooking a small steam and on to a large tented deck with a dance floor and band. Tables here were also draped in ivory linens and topped with centerpieces in silver julep cup vases.

Instead of a traditional guest book, guests were asked to write their wishes for the couple on special note cards that will later be put into a scrapbook.

It was so wonderful to be part this beautiful couple’s reception. The attention to detail made this event truly elegant in every way.

I am extremely fortunate to have the most wonderful group of friends!  They are truly my heart, my support and my family!  I could not ask for more caring and loving friends –

We are all very different, leading different lives daily, yet we seem to have a connection that keeps us very close.  We promise each other to take the time get together and just have FUN.  Whether it be going to the release of fabulous movie ’Sex and the City ‘ or on this occasion – attending that good old fashion tea party.

We may not all actually be from the ‘Deep South’, however, we all were raised with much etiquette and tradition.  One lovely gal of the group decided it was time for a ‘Tea Party’ since we do so many other types of events during the year.  Sharolyn Perry, better known as Shabby Chic Shar, was the most gracious hostess for this event.  As Victoria stated,  Shar is one of those ladies that somehow manages to find the coolest things at the best prices in the strangest places.  Shar had everything that was needed, wanted and appropriate for this tea, right down to the honey spoons.

Our invitation was printed by Shar on sweet vintage Holly Hobby stationary :-)   It was precious.  She had gorgeous sterling pieces that dressed the table,  tea sandwiches,  individual honey ‘pots’, scones, and even her beautiful vintage apron.  Each of us brought another item to add to the event-

We all came dressed in our ’Sunday best’, including our hats and gloves – as we enjoyed our tea, we shared fabulous conversation, covering the stories of our youth, reality of our now, and glorious future of our friendship as old ladies….having tea!

Shar’s lovely table- the peonies we fashioned by Leslie Wacker, owner of Southern Stems.

Just a shot of my tea cup with our ‘flowering tea’ and honey spoon :-)

Our fabulous group!!!!

Literally and figuratively…well – let me begin at the beginning, I was so lucky to have been contacted by Vicki, mother of the bride, back in February.  She wanted her daughter, family, future son in law, his family and all her guest to just be able to enjoy a glorious event.

When I met Elizabeth and Donald, I was just so taken by their charm, elegance, and classic ideas!  They wanted a formal wedding with all the very traditional elements and a spectacular, memorable reception.  They got married in Central United Methodist in Florence, South Carolina.  This church was breath taking- the music was so powerful, the pews were filled to capacity with the 400 plus in attendance.

I have to share a moment that is most memorable and honestly will stay with me forever:  Vicki was just about to go down the aisle to be seated and her husband, standing off to one side with his daughter on his arm says to Elizabeth, your mother looks so wonderful.  Then,  just before the doors were opened, her father looked over at her, smiled like he was looking at his child for the first time and told her she was a beautiful woman now!  When the doors were opened and Elizabeth was on her father’s arm, just about to take the first step down the aisle – Elizabeth’s gaze found Donald’s at the end, she never took her eyes off of him, and the smile became larger with every passing second.  She saw her future at the end of that aisle – the moment was most precious, I am glad I was there for that- THIS IS WHAT IS ALL ABOUT!!!!!

After the ceremony, the couple traveled to the reception in a  gorgeous white vintage Rolls Royce.  When they arrived, their driver literally rolled out the red carpet for them- perfect entrance for this elegant couple.

The reception was at the beautiful Florence Country Club. No detail was left out…the food was spectacular, from grilled to order quail, salmon, tenderloin and chicken to passed sushi and a pineapple tree with fresh seasonal fruit :-)   They had a mashed potato bar, a shrimp and grits station and carved beef tenderloin- the food was just perfect.

The spirits were amazing as well- they had a traditional bar but also wanted a martini bar that was accented with a lovely bottle holding ice sculpture (created by Ice Sensations) with a martini glass etched on it.

The floral arrangements just took you to another land in time it seemed like- David Starks, Flowers by Starks, created these amazing masterpieces that seemed to reach for the sky and bring all the lovely colors together.

Last and definitely not least was the wedding cake- this was created by Myra Johnson, owner and designer of Incredible Edibles.  This gorgeous white on white cake had a different unique pattern on each layer and each layer was a different layer, ranging from red velvet to key lime filling- it was beyond delicious.

The wedding was just BEYOND amazing and spectacular!!!  I truly felt like one of the family by the end of our time together- I wish this couple and their families all the happiness in the world!

Photography was by Milton Morris.  Videography by  James and Marianna Player.

And as always, these are candid photos- I can not wait to see the ones from Milton!

David Starks created a large arrangement that greeted guest as they drove down the center lane to enter Florence CC.

Two matching rose petal monograms also greeted guest at their entrance.

Little closer shot of the arrangement at the entrance.

And my lovely couple getting out of the Rolls Royce at Florence Country Club- Jill just grabbed a quick shot of their ‘Red Carpet’ style!!!!

Good day-

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend, South Carolina has officially hit ’summer weather’!  It is getting hot in Columbia but B.I.O. was so lucky to have been able to be a part of a gorgeous event in Charleston, South Carolina, well Seabrook Island to be exact-

Cindy and James got married at the Seabrook Island Club this past weekend- the made the long trip down to our sweet little southern state from New York City!  This couple was just amazing!  I began working with Cindy, James and Vicki (Cindy’s mother) some time ago.  They came to me knowing exactly how they wanted everything to look and feel.

They picked a  beautiful summer color palette – blues, yellows and a soft shade ivory.  Vicki hand made the paper flowers you see hung from the ceiling over each table along with the paper pom poms at each place setting.  She also made the menu cards and many other crafted items such as the pew markers and table toppers.  Cindy and James took fabulous pictures all over New York holding numbers to use for their table numbers.

Flowers by Flowers by Frankie, photography was by Gene Ho.  The brides gorgeous hair was created by Juliet Jones, Hair by Juliet.

Here are CANDID photos from the weekend:

The ceremony was out on the pavilion next to the water, the breeze almost got us but we held on :-)   Cindy wanted the under side of the deck hung with fabric to create an entrance and staging area- it turned out lovely even with the wind-

The couple placed their rings in a beautiful sea shell that sat up front during the ceremony.

The programs were fans in the shape of the same shell their rings were placed…

Below you see the fabulous pew markers- full hydrangea in cones made by Vicki- they were perfect!

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her lovely mother, Vicki!  It was very moving right before we sent them out – we even had to share a little joke to  keep the tears back…

Here is a shot from the deck looking out over the ceremony during a reading by James’ mother.  What a gorgeous event.  Flowers by Frankie created the magnolia garland along the raised area you see.

This is a wide angle of the room- it does not do it justice!!!  I wish you could have seen this in person when the sun went down, the candles were a soft glow through the tissue wrapped vases in yellow and ivory.  The hung flowers gentle moved when a door was opened – it came a live and was amazing!

Here is a shot of the tables set-

Here you see the seating cards placed on lovely boards – the couple placed photos of their family  along side the cards for guests to enjoy.

At this last shot – well, what can I say…we were setting up and my lovely husband was taking photos- I was just having a good time and being silly for a moment!!  We love doing weddings!
